More young people need to be thinking about this (and learning about it in school). I feel like we don't start to care about having a *meaningful* career until we've had a bunch of *meaningless* jobs.

That's exactly right- we're raised to think that graduating and "getting a job" is a destination in of itself. Too often, the search for meaning begins later. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Yes Id like to make an impact, other than looking at non profit job sites like idealist, what are other ways to cultivate this vision we have?

Always challenges when starting a new career or starting out in general. Mindset can make or break you. Solving a problem and improving the lives of others is self fulfilling in itself. Thanks for sharing Stacy! - Bloggin Brandi

Thanks for your kind words, Julianne! When I visited your channel, your header "Making work feel personal again" definitely spoke to me and reminded me of the message I was trying to get at in this video. Will definitely check out some of yours soon.

This is a wonderful topic and it's weird that we go through college, jobs life in general thinking that it's money that will validate what we are doing, and not the actual work. I love your saying "It's not about your job title, it's about mindset and the way you approach things. Keep up the good work!!

Man this is awesome. I’ve been talking about the importance of impact for a long time. Obviously money is important but I know from my personal experience I have do something that is helpful to others to truly get fulfillment.
