    Assembling this right now. It's a "travel kettle" but I'm going to make it my main grill for my wife and me. Yesterday I assembled the grill table from Ash & Ember. Today I picked up some 12x12 by 2" paving stones from Lowes. These will be placed under the grill opening and the "portable" grill will be secured in place by holes drilled in the legs and Tapcon screws.

    Very pleased with mine. Love all the thought to detail and execution to make for better cooking. Only comment I'd suggest is the charcoal basket for this appears it was made for the Weber 18" Joe and doesn't contour to this grill's bowl as well as my other slow n sear charcoal baskets for my 22" and 26". Would like to see it use more of that whole bowl's round space. Hopefully an update in the near future.

    I just bought the charcoal basket and drip n' griddle for my jumbo joe but if I didn't already have a Jumbo Joe, I'd definitely be looking at this unit.

    This looks like a great Grill....but being a bit light and doesn't have extendable/rubber legs to secure it from sliding on the ground...especially on a table. What do you recommend that can be used to keep it stable?

    • @SnSGrills
      @SnSGrills  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There’s no issues of sliding around. It does have some weight to it so it stay put.

    Really cool! Exciting stuff. I've personally been keeping a Weber Jumbo on my wishlist so this interests me. My only apprehension is it being 100!! dollars more than the Jumbo. That's a ton of money for arguably a few ports, a thermometer and a different paint job. I really wish it was more like $50 more.

    • @SnSGrills
      @SnSGrills  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Having a portable kettle is a great choice to add to your lineup. The added features in our kettle take your cooking experience good to great as these small feature takes away the frustrations of your standard portable grill making every penny spent worth it in the long run. :) hope that’s helpful. 🙌

    • @BrewReview
      @BrewReview ปีที่แล้ว

      You also get an actual ash rake, smoke hole and better grate quality. Not to mention the actual slow and sear itself which you may have bought anyways if you have a Jumbo Joe. I would say adding in a thermometer, probe port and slightly better build quality - it's totally worth the hundred bucks extra.

    I found the assembly of the legs onto the bottom bowl more difficult than it should have been. Fingers didn't fit underneath the nut in the already small opening. For all the other glorious engineering, this was a miss. Once past that, this thing does cook nicely. Been a SnS customer since 2017 when David first got started. Their gear is the real deal and works as advertised!

      We appreciate your business, yeah with it being the Travel Kettle there’s not much room compared to our other kettles. I’ll pass your comment on to our development team to see if there’s any way to improve the leg assembly. Thanks 🔥

    Jabin - Do you happen to know what size table would put the sns travel grill up to about 30" from floor to grill grate? Also what would be the minimum size table to place the grill on?

    • @BrewReview
      @BrewReview ปีที่แล้ว

      Just do basic measurements. The Travel Kettle is ~19" tall with the grates being about 12.5" from the bottom of the feet, so you'd want a table with a total height of 17.5" to its top to bring the grate level to 30"

      The Travel Kettle is more comparable to the Jumbo Joe, except we include our SNS insert, easy spin grate, plus 5 inlet holes compared to 3 and a larger charcoal grate. The ash catcher is better too, in our opinion🔥
