Agreed. It was also the driving force behind his desperation to get Spencer back & to keep Brooke. He knew he had to end spending so much private time with Steffy, cuz he feels himself slipping. & He doesn't want to hurt Lameass that way. It's prolly also one of the benefits in torching Spectra. It was his way, in part, if exacting revenge & Justice on Sallys BS with Thomas & stealing those damned designs from FC. He would never consciously hurt Steffy the way eveyone blames him for.
