Brighton is not a comfortable city to live in… I know. I live there. It has high levels of homelessness, an uncontrollable drug problem and every other problem you can think of. The housing situation is extortionate and employment is scarce. Good luck trying to live there.

@@elvisaddaiyeboah3721 Hi , first i would like to clarify , that i am saying that there is nothing wrong with any of the places mentioned in the video or with London either , its just that they are expensive places to live in and the title states clearly that its a video about places that are affordable (live comfortably in) . My suggestions of great cities that are less expensive but good to live in would be :-
      Norwich
      Nottingham
      Sheffield
      Newcastle
      Exeter
Nowhere is perfect and all have better/worse/cheaper/expensive neighbourhoods and i could give you a much better list of towns to live in but the undoubted fact is the five places in the video really are not places you could live comfortably in unless you earned a very substantial wage .

And when it comes to Edinburgh at number 1 on the list you only mention two of the city's festivals - the official Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. You could have also mentioned the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Edinburgh Science Festival, the Edinburgh Television Festival, not to mention the world famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Not sure about Brighton as it's too easy access to London (can be less than an hour away depending on the train one gets). In fact, anywhere that's within living/commuter belt to/from London is as expensive as London. That includes Oxford and Cambridge. A very misleading list indeed. And the beach in Brighton is stones and pebbles making it very uncomfortable to walk for those with mobility issues. That being said I love all of these places.

@@bluecheese4877 Immigrants as a thing itself is not a problem. People have been immigrating and emigrating since the dawn of time. The problem is the arrogance and insular nature of contemporary mass immigration.
These people do NOT care for england as a land with a history that goes far back before colonialism, it's own lore, had it's own gods and goddesses, it's own festivals and native celebrations, it's own ways....These people just want to come over for money and force their culture on the natives. And if you say anything they immediately flash the colonialism card....Again England is way way older than Colonialism. Stonehenge is older than the Pyramids and even in Czech Republic they have a structure older than Stonehenge!
So no, Europe and Uk is not a land of colonisers, that's such a tiny part of UK history but these immigrants have no interest in that or the natives...They are as bad as the colonisers they love to blame.

There's definitely an argument that Southampton should be on this list given the relatively low cost of accommodation for the South/South East. The job market is also good and it's the economic driver of the region. It's relatively close to London which is good but sadly not really close enough to commute. Nearby Winchester is however but accommodation there is incredibly expensive. It has good transport connections to the surrounding region but is held back by regional transport infrastructure not being well integrated and affordable. No where near as good as say Greater Manchester for example. It also has pretty good weather for a UK city and plenty of green space.

Most of these places Oxford, Cambridge Brighton are ok if you have money. Edinburgh no 1 no its gloomy,
old fashioned, drab, Edinburgh Castle is like a block of terraced houses. Not impressed.
