    The cosmological defining of humans by intrinsically objective, even physical, categories like "substance" is being more than enriched by personalism. It is being made fundamentally relational which 'prime substance' was not.
    And given that animals are also experiential subjects of awareness, with which we can empathise, and that the philosophy of intentionality has shown that subjectivity is intrinsically related to objects, human interiority needs to be better defined. It needs to be justified as qualitatively distinct from animals by comparison of resultant, observable behaviour.

    Thanks so much for sharing this paper Dr. Crosby. Indeed, I think that we should not be fearful of modern philosophy; instead we must learn to take what is good from it and, with this, enrich our understanding of reality, and make this life more worth living. "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." (Philippians 4:8)
