I know that folks mean well when they classify a performer as underrated. I am of the opinion that saying someone is underrated dismisses their achievements. A New Englander Jeffrey Osborne has long been among my favorite male vocalists. Far from underrated Jeffrey Osborne has 5 gold and platinum LP's to his credit in addition to numerous top 40 hits. Love Ballad, a personal favorite of mine, stands as a testament to his incredible talent. Its a fabulously positive tune with a message for all men, with a stellar vocal performance. I only wish that the tune had been released as a single so that more people could have heard and taken its message to heart. Holding On When Love Is Gone is on favorites playlist which I play and listen to regularly. Stranger and Love Ballad will forever stir me to emotional depths like few other tunes ever have or ever will. Listen to this tune, these vocals and you, like myself, will know that there is nothing underrated here as this tune represents vocal perfection. ….I have never been in so much love before,...What a difference, and when we walk hand in hand I feel so real, …..What a difference a true love made in my life, ….And what we have is much more than can see, What we have is much more than they could see,...…. Me, age 13, 1983: Ah, sweet youth
Me, age 51, 2020: I'm 16 years older now than he was when this came out... *time flies*
The great Louis Johnson of the Brothers Johnson is on the bass. He is awesome! And of course there's no voice like Jeffrey Osborne! My favorite!
Don't even think about the '80s without thinking Jeffrey Osborne...
Awesome music never goes out of style. To be just 21 - 30 again. Hanging out with The Dance Crew - *{Just Us}. Dancing all night with girl's. Being in 7th Heaven that night. On the dance floor. To not remembering her name. In front of my dad. The very next morning. Still Awesome memories to me. Said the *53 Year old retired man.
