@@fortunefair Unity install fees. Like they were planning on making every install of a game that was made with the Unity Engine (like Among Us, Cult of the Lamb, Hollow Knight, Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne HD, etc.) charge the developer a fee.
It was really bad that it broke people's trust and wanted to switch game engines.
@@fortunefair to put it simply the Ceo of EA games, you know the guy who gradually eroded the company into the garbage that it is today, is the unity Ceo and they tried to force developers to pay money every time their games are installed. There are scenarios where devs that would have been above the red, would end up in debt to unity, or malicious actors could download their games repeatably to try and jack up the money owed to unity. Its pretty bad, a lot of people are jumping ship and looking towards more safe open source engines like Godot, since they're community driven and not owned by a corporation.

I just remembered and realized. Hololive ERROR is a Unity game. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Cover was aware of the install fee problem.

@@Philweasel I think the more they make the more its gonna hurt them because in order to be profitable that game would need to constantly over sale, like Zelda or Grand theft auto.

This Unity blunder actually affects a lot of games Holomems play, notably Rust and Among Us, so it's fair to say some of the more gamer-minded ones know about it. Unfortunately, even if Unity backtracks, devs won't trust them anymore. Hoping everyone can migrate to better engines.

People love to make fun of Marine about her "age" but as far as I being exposed, she is not even that old in comparison to a big majority of the members. I was shocked!

I think she mentioned that the guy with the screw in his head was like Bob Sapp (American MMA fighter who fought a lot in Japan and even appeared on some variety programmes). I was kinda surprised at that mention but I am not too sure if I misheard her as my grasp of the Japanese language is very very weak.

@@davidh8271 I don't think PC gaming is very big in Japan in general, they have been much more console-focused. Similar to how an American could be knowledgable about games but not know much about Japanese game studios/ companies.

Also, despite being born and raised in the US, I was completely unfamiliar with MySpace. I had heard of it, but never used it.
MySpace was probably never big in Japan anyways. I doubt many Japanese people know about it.

F for the Unity devs. I'd like to say i'm surprised a bit but knowing Pekochan i bet she is up to date with games she is interested in playing so she most likely watches gaming news very often and this was a massive topic that everyone knew (unless you're one of those gamers who only play your one MOBA or Shooter and nothing else)
That miko in the trailer for Q remastered. Yes, in the west it is completely allowed for the game dev to use a clip of someone playing their game as long as it's not harmful for the one being featured. Being a Vtuber also makes it even more grayish because they're technically not covered by the regular copyright laws and nobody has yet tried to push those boundaries (to my knowledge, maybe somebody has)
Q is developed by a Japanese company, which makes that a bit of a moot point. Besides, they mentioned on Twitter long ago that they did get permission from the Hololive girls to use their stream footage as part of promotional material

@@needmorequarts1081 Yea that's why I said for now since I'm not sure what crazy decision Unity will make in the future. So far every game developer are dropping Unity and promoting Godot engine more since its free or Unreal Engine. The damage has been done so I don't think any company will use unity for their upcoming projects which will lead to Unity's downfall.

I’m pretty sure Pekora is about a year younger than Marine.
She talked about seeing the Digimon movie in 2000. She was young, but she was probably born in the early 90’s about.
Fun fact: Both Senchou and Pekora and talked about "pardun" being a trendy word to say back when they were still students, (in their own streams btw) but Senchou was the one to pinpoint that it was when she was a middle schooler.
Safe to say they're around the same age, give or take a year. Senchou has pretty much confirmed she's hit her 30s, so Pekora is not that far off.
