  • The canonet QL17, also known as "the poor man's Leica", is a great choice for street photography! Paired up with the affordable Fuji Fujicolor 200 you can get awesome results comparable to more expensive gear. This combo is great for film photography beginners.
We take the canonet out to shoot film on a walk in the streets of Stockholm and finish a mystery roll at the time of shooting. All we knew was that it was an ASA200 color film that we loaded sometime ago after fixing its faulty shutter.
Thank you for watching and visiting! Like, comment and subscribe for much more photography love to come 😍

Love my QL17 G-iii. Has a big beautiful rangefinder, awesome focal length, and wide max aperture. What the hell was Canon thinking with that filter thread size. Nothing is 48 mm. NOTHING...

Did you try using step up filters? 😊 we got a bunch of them from wish, they’re not the best quality but they get the job done 👍🏼

I have that same camera and I had not shot with it yet. But recently I finally put a roll in it and started to use it. I haven't seen the results yet but here's hoping I got some good shots.

Sweet! And how’s been the shooting experience so far? I personally love how small and manageable it is, and how silent the shutter is! Gotta be one of the most silent out there 😁

I'm waiting for mine to arrive and hope I end up really liking it too.
It's just too bad that at the moment I can't send rolls of film to be processed at a place in Melbourne that's both cheap (compared to other labs) and good. Covid restrictions are so strict that a lot of businesses have had to seriously restrict what they can do. So they are still supplying film by post but not doing any processing :-(.

Hi Szilvia! I am sure you will love this camera once you start using it. I understand about the development problems but maybe it is an opportunity to find motivation to learn development at home? I really encourage you to try it. We do all our development and scanning home and although is a bit of an investment and learning curve at the beginning, it is the most rewarding thing to be part of the whole process! All the best ☺️

5:38, what was your settings to get that blue sky? I tried couple times with the exact same camera and film, still could not get as good as yours

Well, as you might know this camera is a shutter priority camera, which means that I can only set the shutter speed and the camera will choose the aperture that will give a good exposure. I don’t remember exactly what shutter speed I was using at that moment, but probably a speed that would give me an aperture of 5.6 or 8 since I wanted to get a deep depth of field for those street shots and it was still sunny! In summary it is the cameras doing, the metering is really spot on! Hope this helps, Cheers.
