on one end of the playfield you got a serious looking al pacino, on the other end the biggest toy on the playfield, resembling the comical boxer from champion pub released 25 years ago.
The art is just gorgeous! The mobster actually reminds me of Dick Tracy.
You are exactly right! Looks like it came directly from the Warren Beatty movie.. I have been trying to nail down what it reminded me of and once I saw your comment it clicked!

I agree that the mobster tone is different but maybe that’s the point. If it was a more “accurate” sculpture would it come off as too violent? Almost need a bit of levity for a fun pinball game based on the mob.

I'm so glad Greg brought up the cartoonish mobster sculpt! For me it's like a big scratch on a Ferrari. I wince every time I see it.

Funds are tight right now, but I wish that I could have found a way to warrant ordering a CE. This machine looks so damn good.

The game looks fantastic , but the reason it looks expensive is because it frikking is !! I mean 18k euro for the CE , that's almost double from prices pre-corona ... not for regular working class people like me im afraid 😞

Played the limited edition about 20 times a few days ago. It looks nice, and has interesting gameplay with the choice of families and shots. Sculpts are a little too cartoonish for the theme. All that being said, I've yet to play a Jersey Jack pinball that I want to play enough to own it, with the exception of Toy Story, but that is stupid money. Unless you have money to blow, I'd rather spend my money to own the Cactus Canyon remake.
Slash has been doing the theme from Godfather since use your illusion days. Nice nod to this pin from the past.(Guns JJP pin)

Love that this game went from the rumor stage as being maybe the worst theme ever to actually seeing the game and it possibly (way too early I know) could be the game of the year. Regardless of "awards" or whatever, well done JJP: this game looks fun and amazing.

Fans of the movie who have absolutely no interest in pinball will buy this. That’s why Jersey Jack paid for the intellectual property and produced this table. 🎯
Can't wait for your detailed review of this game guys. Keep on the awesome work. You didn't post much often but there is no filler there, always high quality content worthy of our time.
The limited is 12k and you dont even get side art blades or different color legs, etc. Wish they would of learned from TS4 and lowered the price so more people feel more comfortable.
I'm still waiting inside art blade for TS4.

If you don't think this game looks awesome check your pulse. When you look at the price tags, check your pulse. As I stated before JJ will sell these. To whom I have no idea. Given that I've not seen a JJ pin in the wild speaks to their pricing and marketing. I guess they are okay selling just enough to stay afloat. Don't know. Educate me.
I imagine it’s like any premium product for a select market. Like exotic car brands.. how often do you see them in the wild? Or super expensive clothes or accessories. But they exist and the companies do fine. There’s enough demand from enough serious people that JJ can get away with charging the premiums they do. They may not sell as many as stern, but they may gross more per machine.
@@mootsym I appreciate your response. If JJ's market strategy is to sell to Mr. Deep-Pockets then it's completely irrelevant to me. Since operators aren't snapping these up in mass (some will, most won't) JJ pins equate to machines that sit in collections that only appear on FB showing us how awesome their collection is. Likely with just 800 plays on them after 10 years. I'm generalizing, but I don't see how this helps the overall hobby. Just call me salty I guess. All the best to JJ and those that can afford them or have the opportunity to play one.

With all that bright red, makes you wonder if they really wanted Scarface or Goodfellas to be the theme. This doesn't feel like Godfather, but if the game is rockin, I will let go of this awkward integration pretty fast.

The cartoonish mobster is very out of place, almost like the cheesy Dracula toy in BSD (almost). It's a matter of consistent tone, you either go all caricatures, or no caricature.
