  • There are many “bad” words in English. We can call these words curse words or swear words. I believe learners of English need to learn these words. Many learners say embarrassing things because they don’t realize what the bad words are. Watch this video to learn why you should learn the bad words and what the bad words in English are. What do you think? Should English learners learn the “bad” words or not? www.engvid.com...

If we learn a language that is not our mother tongue, we still need to learn bad words or inappropriate words. If we don’t we might end up smiling when someone using offensive words to us. So I mean we still need to know different meaning of bad words or exact meaning. Thank you for your lesson lovely teacher, it really help us.
Edit: Don't get me wrong guys.I don't teach children inappropriate words or behaviors. The teacher said it in the video like "Not for children". Kids nowadays learn on their own.

Hello, Miss Emma. My name is Paolo, I'm a fifty seven years old independent learner from Italy. I've taken the liberty of scripting a message to say thank you for your immense support. That is to say that after five years of exhaustive training I can finally Live in English. Yes, my girlfriend is British, born in London and then lived in Toronto and Connecticut for twenty years. When I met her here, I had already been speaking English to her and she said "Wow, impressive!", " Where did you go to school?" I said " A small private school called living room with the American TV on 24/7 and a lot of English books." I'm not joking, it's true. I've done everything on my own mind and with your precious help. I still remember your old lessons by heart. I literally started from zero, at the beginning of my English adventure I could barely speak the days of the week, but slowly slowly I got it. Totally. But I m not going to quit, life is a journey and so is English. I'm grateful for what I can do in my life, and I just want to say Thank you very much indeed. I wish you all the best for your future. Paolo.

I think I tend towards pronouncing horror like 'horr-o', and never felt close to ambiguity. After Emma explained her pronunciation (more like 'horr-r') and worries about ambiguity; I started thinking about how they are different and why.
I think there are different ways to pronounce horror, and depending on which it can cause ambiguity:
Horr-or : including all parts, but makes it kind of a tongue twister, that slows you down.
Horr-r : skipping the second 'o', makes it easier , but it easily resemble one syllable 'horrr', causing ambiguity
Horr-o: skipping the last 'r', makes it easier, while you easily keep the second syllable, mitigating ambiguity.
