Stoked on the shout out guys, I appreciate ya! ALSO, anyone complaining about the crowd funding part of this project obviously had this on in the background and didn't listen to shit. "We're not begging for money, its just there if you want to support" Seems pretty rad to me.
What a great idea! I am definitely getting behind this! I really hope this takes off. Perhaps it can grow to pro vs. Am game of BIKE, the female pro game of BIKE, ex-pro vs the current pro game of BIKE...the possibilities are endless. This will hopefully grow BMX to a new level! Can't wait guys!!
Agreeed! I wish we could do it all over the world eventually with different styles. Doing sick BMX events with Joey would a dream if this works out and we figure out a way to get the support.
Exploring Ryans idea - If the riders pay an agreed buy in of their own money just like poker, then they have something to lose as well as gain so the riding and emotions is going to be way more intense probably resulting in better entertainment.
For sure! If we get this going we have tons of different ideas for future events to help give the young bloods shine! This one we had to start with some big dogs to make sure we get the word out with what we are doing.
Yeaaa probably. We are just giving it a shot, very grateful for all the support we have gotten but at this point most of the money is still coming out of my pocket to pay the riders, we will see though as the weeks go on and these epic games of bike drop weekly.
Thank you! Venmo or PayPal is great! The Patreon though, you are going to get more then just supporting the event for your donation. There’s some really cool added perks in there.
Would be sick to see some dudes on the come up who need the money and exposure and not just the elite dudes who have the money and accolades already. respect to the dudes in it but if I am giving up my money as a prize I would want it to go to ppl who are in need of the exposure and cash not dudes already set up. Crowd Funding should not go to drink sponsored riders or dudes on Addidas, they good. Respect were its due as they are the best in the world for a reason though.
I understand where you are coming from. But the goal is to do a bunch of different styles of events, with all different types of riders from up and comers to big time legends. This is just the first one so we want to use some big dogs to help spread the word, and hopefully there’s one in the near future you would like to support. Until then enjoy these badass games of bike coming out every Friday, Fromm the streets to a screen near you 👊🏻
@@Enarson619 That sounds awesome! I would love to see the big dawgs throw there own cash in a pot and winner takes all, full on Blood Sport style! Appreciate you and all you do man!
i'm all for this, but asking viewers to pay for this over sponsors is pretty wild. that is the entire point of sponsors. the idea "well.. sponcers pay the riders we don't wanna ask them" what?! vans, adidas, kink, fiend, sunday you don't think they'd want to slap their names on this? it's weird tome. you put a banner, or have their riders wear the shirt. love the idea though, it's still DIY non- resi gynmastic stuff. so idk
now is this is to bring back skatepark contest like b3, or la rev, C F B, I would throw money at something like this. i think that it's the fact is a game of bike I'm just kinda iffy on asking viewers to pay. none of this is malice or hate btw
when the sponsors are only sponsoring things like FISE and X Games and the top tier riders ... and all the other contests are gone - it's not crazy. it is taking the initiative and ownership of the thing you love, and supports you and your friends - and breathing life back into the am & flow scenes
UFC has a ppv event almost weekly that people people are paying $70. On top of that UFC has alot of big sponsors dumping money into event. So, fans of mma are paying money to see the best fighers in the world. What's the difference if bmx does a "pay per view" event to watch some of the best bike riders in the world?
@@donnybrooks1979 i don't mean to sound negative or complaining i just don't think it's a fair comparison to ufc. SLS or battle of the berics (which I think they even charged last round) I think is more comparable. I throw my money at a lot of things to support bmx but for a game of bike I don't see it. I hope I'm wrong and it's a huge success. but for me, i'd even pay for like watching a streamed jam at some indoor park, without acrobatic judging where guys like segio or dove can be up there with typical medalist - like a CFB even an AM division i'd THROW money at or attend. have a contest at like breakingfree or a change I'm all about. just my lense. this is not hate or negativity, just being constructive and apologize if it comes off like bitching.
We are just trying to do something with an idea we have always had, and I’m very grateful for the donations we have received so far, but at this point I’m still going to have to pay most of the riders prize money out of my pocket. And it sounds like you watched the podcast which is awesome, so you have a good understanding of what the plan is. We actually filmed some of the first rounds that are dropping every Friday and they are going to be epic!! So I have a feeling some of these big brands are going to be begging to be apart of these contest/ events we wanna do. So who knows, if crowd funding works then hell yes!! But the more sponsor dollars that get involved usually the more the event changes. Unless you can find the perfect brands to work with. So we will be navigating the right way to do it for sure 👊🏻 Thanks for tuning in, and for the good comment, see ya Friday!
Tim couch surfs his bus broke down here and overstayed his welcome and treated the homies house like it was his, left oil all over the driveway Tim leeches off of people to keep that going and that’s lame

Thanks for the support and I like the idea! The goal is to keep growing and including as much of BMX as e can 👊🏻

Joey is a cool dude!! Stoked to see him on the podcast.
Such a great idea!
East Coast edition ledge to cellar door Ratkid vs ANYONE. Be awesome to do both coasts. So it's not just a California thing.
Agreeed! I wish we could do it all over the world eventually with different styles. Doing sick BMX events with Joey would a dream if this works out and we figure out a way to get the support.
We need an DA SD water bottle!
super stoked on this project.
great to see a guy in a shirt with Santee on it not being a hateful idiot.
Hahahahah that’s the most San Diego local humor I’ve ever heard 😂
Launch BIKE coin 😂 🚀🚀🚀
They tried that with djcoin, homie needs an update
Most bmxer are too broke or too smart to get involved with a ponzi scheme
Sick!!

This one now is so cool. Please bring Stevie Churchill next time
🙌🏻😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
would be cool to see some underdogs in the games maybe someone from the 22cru to support the next gens

Does burbank allow dales?
Home Ave ditch would we a great spot for a game of bike.
Agreed. Home ave is super fun. We had a jam/contest there back in the day.
Doing something there and building some new stuff is defiantly on the near future plans if this does well and we can keep doing it.
voice messages so based today haha
I subscribed to the patreon hope this does well.
I don't think crowd fund is the way to go with this. Great idea but needs some corporate money I think

Amazing…the randomness of the calls. 🤣
Hahahahah Steve has only been a super kind human to me my whole 15 years of knowing him, and he does things for the BMX scene which is rad!!
