If you're fans of the Wizard of Oz, and of Judy Garland(Dorothy) in general, you should consider making a trip to Grand Rapids, MN. It's her birthplace, there's a museum built in her old house, and they have a festival thing every year. There's also a mini yellow brick road!

Oz is a wonderful place! If you have never read the books, you should....nothing like the movie! There were some REALLY creative pieces in the garden section.... loved the train. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Hey carnival experts, I was at a carnival ages ago where nestled in among the arcade games was a booth just SELLING giant stuffed animals for $40. My first reaction was "Wait... no... you can't DO that..." but the more I thought about it, the more genius it seems. You 100% will get a giant plushie to carry around and the carnie makes way more money than most people spend just to throw a couple of balls and conclude the game is rigged. So: Carnivals selling the prizes as a side hustle: yea or nay?
Our county fair here in my small town in Ontario Canada we have veggies and fruit instead of flowers. :D We also have a competition for the largest pumpkin.....it's usually over 1,000 pounds. :D
