I liked War of the Worlds 2 because I liked how Paulie and Cara Maria delivered the drama. Jordan's win over Josh was hysterical and his engagement to Tori was an amazing moment. I was ticked at Joss and Kayleigh's mistreatment of Georgia and Theo, but they got karma with the purge..which made me happy! Plus, it gave Kam and Leroy the closest they have been to a victory in years! I also loved Final Reckoning as well. DaVonne, Jozea, Natalie, and Paulie kicked the door off for Big Brother players to compete in future seasons.
out of all the shows the challenge expanded to, the big brother players have definitely provided the most drama and competition and I think survivor US players have the same potential. they should really recruit more survivor US people

I think vendettas should've been in good or okay at least, season is very underrated and is overshadowed for it's final. good cast, good dailies, good aesthetic, gave us some of the best eliminations to date (joss vs derrick, melissa vs sylvia etc.) also gave us some iconic rookie debuts & introduced the UK and big brother people. (kam, joss, melissa, natalie etc.) vendettas was truly a stepping stone for the challenge & introduced a new era tbh.
Total madness had a few things for me that just kept it from being great. The final was trash and boring to watch. Them cutting out dee took away the interesting parts and outside of a few most of the eliminations sucked
Dee deserved to be cut tho. I never found her that interesting. Like ok you have a big mouth literally and figuratively. Who cares? And she's a racist drug addict 😬

I love everything of The Duel format. The backyard school pick for safety + being able to call out almost anyone if you’re on the bottom is just amazing. It plays with the balnce of power in the game. It also doesn’t require more twists. I’m sure there could be some, but the format is simple enough while offering enough complexity as well. I really dislike the recent shift towards tribunals/troikas. It takes so much game play away.

Rivals 1 and Rivals 2 are my favorites. They had a great cast and both had great great storylines. Not to mention the right amount of challenge and drama.
I love how in The Duel 1 and 2 and WotW1 you can call out anyone to go against in elimination and the only way to be safe was if you win challenges or if you held the relic in WotW1 Final Reckoning they did something similar but you could only call out the people who voted for you which really made it less interesting especially with the power vote counting for two votes I mean imagine what could've happened if the pairs called out whoever
I actually thought the way final reckoning did it was so cool, but the way the players used it to burn votes made it anticlimactic. If the players used it the way it was designed (if you have the guts to vote for them you better have the guts to take them out) it would've been a lot more interesting.
Battle of the Sexes was by far my favorite non-elimination season and better than a good chunk of elimination seasons imo. Between the inner circle drama on the girls' side, the top tier cast, interesting/unique competitions, the enigma of Puck, and the general positive attitude of the season, I was a big fan.
Da’vonne needs to be on every season because her commentary is perfection and she constantly proves everyone wrong because she’s one hell of an athlete
Erin Cochran Exactly! She does way better on this show than Big Brother because she has more freedom to do so. If only the controversy didn’t happen she would’ve continued doing the show like she had planned to after final reckoning.

I love WoW1 but I just wish they have stuck to partners instead of making it solo. But tbh I loved the concept of WOW2. The Cast was amazing and the concept was dope but the whole Cara’a cult thing made it unwatchable
WOW2 deserved to be in the good or great category. There was a true bad guy or alliance to root against with Cara, Pauline, Ashley, and Ninja. Jordan was awesome on that season. And the three straight episodes involving the Wes, Laurel, and Bananas eliminations were great.
Wes’s two wins are in the great category. Two of bananas wins are in the great category and WOW, Wes made the final. Those are easily the two best characters in the show that help the storylines and it make sense that those 5 seasons are great.
I actually love Battle of the season 2012. It was the debut of a lot of challenge vets (nany, Marie, jemmye, knight, frank, Zach) and it was kinda one of the only seasons where rookies controlled the game instead of vets. O also good drama
I would’ve put invasions in the bad column. That season is such a train wreck and boring. But besides that I have to agree with your great column. However I think I would switch Rivals 1 with Battle of the exes 1. That is literally one of my absolute fave seasons. Prime CT and Diem. But whoever on MTV’s creative team thought of WOTW1 needs to be brought back because that is definitely one of the best seasons in the past 10 years. Totally rewatchable. My top 5 would be: Free Agents, WOTW1, BotE1, Rivals 2, and the Duel. Also HONORABLE mention: Leroy and Nia in BotE2, they were truly iconic. And that was PRIME idgaf Leroy. My fave😂😂❤️❤️
I remember being cautious about hyping up wotw 1 when the promos aired, but it never disappointed me. I think they should stop with all these back to back "trilogies" since it kinda drags out the theme like it did with dirty 30 and wotw 1.
Personally I'd put Bloodlines higher (probably meh or okay tier). I know that the cast wasn't perfect and is rightly criticized. However, given the fact that half of the cast were simply family members of Challengers, they managed to produce a few really entertaining competitors (Mitch and Brianna being a couple that come to mind). Also I found the dailies to often be pretty solid and it was Cara's first win which, while she isn't as liked as she once was, was a great moment when it happened. Personally I thought the final was really interesting and unique too.
I will say I do like the Bloodlines final more than most. It just doesn't out way how bleh I feel about that season. But I understand what you are coming from with the pros. Thanks for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it!
Julio Diaz In rivals 1 I never thought Johnny had a chance to win. He up against Wes and Kenny. They didn’t have any chemistry, Johnny has always been better with partners than Wes.
the Goat true Johnny always finds a way to work well with his partners. But rivals 1 I really thought CT and adam where going to win it all, all season they were thrown into eliminations and came back but at the end they barely lost smh
I need to rewatch your favorites. I’m enjoying watching free agents again. I’ve been a fan of The Real World from day 1 and it’s so nice to see how the show has evolved to The Challenge and how several generations enjoy the series.
Free Agents was my first season that I watched live it is absolutely my favorite! Any season with CT and Diem instantly gets a gold star from me as well. I’m super surprised that bloodlines was in the trash category! I don’t remember it being bad (or great) I probably would have had it in the okay/meh categories
Your picks for the "great" tier are really top notch seasons. Some of the other seasons could have been higher on my list if the producers had actually put a little more effort into making sure that every time wasn't a cake walk for Bananas or anyone coming in with an automatic alliance of 10 people unwilling to vote for them. It made a lot of the seasons super predictable buuut, I think that's also why we like Free Agents so much (despite the outcome).. because you really had to fend for yourself and more challenges should be like that.
I greatly disagree with u about Battle of the Seasons 1. It is one of my favorite seasons to date. Sure it had its flaws but it was still great. It was also the rookie season for so many players including The Miz & Coral
First Challenge I saw was Vendettas, then skipped Final Reckoning, saw a few episodes of both War of The Worlds and then I saw the whole Total Madness season. Awesome seasons, but then I found Free Agents clips here and it became my favorite season👍👍👍

for the most part i completely agree with your rankings. only changes i'd make is putting gauntlet 3 a little higher for the cast and drama alone. maybe in the "okay" tier. i'd also bump up gauntlet 2 to "good". it's a solid season with so many memorable moments and its the season that made me a hardcore derrick fan.
War of the worlds 2 I thought was actually not that bad, everyone hates it for the way the politics controlled the game but I found it to be the perfect game played by paulie and cara politically at least not challenge wise.
I believe there are two takeaways from War of the Worlds 2, those two takeaways are always put quality over quantity and not let egos lead to a downfall of the team.
Well if the good people would have stayed then it would have been 10x better. Laurel was gone way too soon. Bananas and Bear also went home way to early. Then we had boring people stay like Kam, Dee, Ninja, Rogan, Kayleigh, & Joss

Hard disagree on the placement of WOTW2. Rewatching that season knowing how it plays out is just... delicious. The format was bad, but the narrative arc of the story it tells is satisfying.
Other than Devin being on it, because he is the worst, why is Rivals 3 trash?!?!?! We have the most iconic moment of Bananas stealing Sara's money, and all the drama with Tony and Camila. I would have put that in the good category.
As usual, Great video & Great Tiers! I strongly agree with the 'Great' tier list. The only couple I disagree with are Gauntlet 3 and Bloodlines being ranked so low. Yes, I hated the ending of Gauntlet 3 (Big Easy's fault lol) but it was still a fun season to watch mainly because of the cast. Bloodlines had lots of drama and some of the challenges were pretty good.
I feel like Rivals 3 gets knocked down a lot by a lot of people, but the main pull of that season for me that has me coming back is watching the relationship between Bananas and Sarah grow. They are obviously the focus of the season and their beef has the most weight out of everyone on that season. Plus, we got Cory and Ashley which was an ICONIC duo.
I worked as a marketer for Mtv and worked specifically ona few challenge seasons. One was the Rivals 3, Johnny was popping adderall the entire season and specifically was using huge doses during the two part final. He had an advantage specifically when it came to them standing on the logs overnight. We caught him with adderall in his coat after the final challenge and MTV only gave him a 5k fine. Its nothing compared to the 250k he won
I bought Total madness and I was so dissapointed. I saw the trailer and was so exited but I did not like the season. I likes the people Like Kaycee, Tori, Jordan, and Nany but I don't like Jenny, Dee, Rogan, and the Bayleigh-Swaggy couple. Thoes challenges were boring. And the Final was like the worst when TJ was hyping it up.
Invasion of the Champs is a very good season. Great daily challenges, fun eliminations with great matchups. Great cast. Lots of drama. Lots of hookups.
I know this season has the awesome moments with Tony's cousin who was very entertaining. And bananas cousin being bad at everything was also satisfying lol
I definitely think Rivals is the best season of all time. It makes me sad that we may never get a cast that good again, like talk about a completely juggernaut of a season. We got freaking CT and Adam on a team, genius. I think the only way to make another season that good would be the Friends season you pitched.

Rivals is a fire trilogy in need of a 4th. Absolutely hate the twist & how it ended for Sarah but Rivals 3 cannot be in the trash section. Lol sadly. Least favorite: Bloodlines. It’s hard to endure knowing what Cara did to Abram during it. Rivals 3 I felt the competition wasn't very high and it was kind of predictable that Sarah and Bananas would 1) make the finals and 2) win. Thew twist I felt was a huge get punch. The great thing about the show is they change up the formula every season, but the Island took it way too far. No eliminations, challenges, or even a FINAL? Just weird 3 person face-offs then a vote. I was glad it was short.
Tj should do a season with all the vets an Og champions u kno like a regular season an in the middle of the season bring in teenagers to be paired up wit vets so something like war of the worlds but with teens it could be Called Invasion ll or something tho u should make a video about this idea🤷🏽♂️ tho.

The first Inferno challenge is still my all time fav. I watched it as it aired and could not believe the type of drama it pumped out considering this was 2004. Veronica vs Katie, Coral vs Julie, Julie trying to literally kill Veronica... 🤣🤣 The first Duel was amazing to! Wes and CT were in their prime and I was rooting for Svetlana the entire time!
Bloodlines could be good for another season, if they make it work and dont cast some of the trash they got the first time. Since Natalie Anderson is on next season, it's a good way we could get Nadiya
I am really sad you put all the OG seasons in the bad section... those are the ones that i watched while i was a teen and made me fall in love! i had stopped watching for a while and started back up with invasion of the champs! (becasue of my massive crush on CT in high school.... and who am i kidding now) and that got me hooked again so i agree with it being up high!
The OG seasons were great for the time but looking back and comparing to say the era of Fresh Meat 2 up through Battle of Exes 2 those seasons are kind of bad. Nostalgia just keeps them near and dear to us
The island is better than people think. Yea johnny n kenny were dicks but it was a short and sweet season with Evelyn's storyline. I would put it in meh. Gauntlet 3 needs to be higher. Yea vets wrecked but the dramas very good the cast is stacked the eliminations aren't bad. Also dirty 30 and invasion maybe a little higher
You ranked both Duels, Inferno II and Cutthroat high which are some of my favorites so I'm biased to side with and support this ranking. Duel I is my favorite.

Wes’s two wins are in the great category. Two of bananas wins are in the great category and WOW, Wes made the final. Those are easily the two best characters in the show that help the storylines and it make sense that those 5 seasons are great.

I actually love Battle of the season 2012. It was the debut of a lot of challenge vets (nany, Marie, jemmye, knight, frank, Zach) and it was kinda one of the only seasons where rookies controlled the game instead of vets. O also good drama

I would’ve put invasions in the bad column. That season is such a train wreck and boring. But besides that I have to agree with your great column. However I think I would switch Rivals 1 with Battle of the exes 1. That is literally one of my absolute fave seasons. Prime CT and Diem. But whoever on MTV’s creative team thought of WOTW1 needs to be brought back because that is definitely one of the best seasons in the past 10 years. Totally rewatchable. My top 5 would be: Free Agents, WOTW1, BotE1, Rivals 2, and the Duel. Also HONORABLE mention: Leroy and Nia in BotE2, they were truly iconic. And that was PRIME idgaf Leroy. My fave😂😂❤️❤️
I remember being cautious about hyping up wotw 1 when the promos aired, but it never disappointed me. I think they should stop with all these back to back "trilogies" since it kinda drags out the theme like it did with dirty 30 and wotw 1.

Personally I'd put Bloodlines higher (probably meh or okay tier). I know that the cast wasn't perfect and is rightly criticized. However, given the fact that half of the cast were simply family members of Challengers, they managed to produce a few really entertaining competitors (Mitch and Brianna being a couple that come to mind). Also I found the dailies to often be pretty solid and it was Cara's first win which, while she isn't as liked as she once was, was a great moment when it happened. Personally I thought the final was really interesting and unique too.
I will say I do like the Bloodlines final more than most. It just doesn't out way how bleh I feel about that season. But I understand what you are coming from with the pros. Thanks for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it!

Julio Diaz In rivals 1 I never thought Johnny had a chance to win. He up against Wes and Kenny. They didn’t have any chemistry, Johnny has always been better with partners than Wes.
the Goat true Johnny always finds a way to work well with his partners. But rivals 1 I really thought CT and adam where going to win it all, all season they were thrown into eliminations and came back but at the end they barely lost smh

I need to rewatch your favorites. I’m enjoying watching free agents again. I’ve been a fan of The Real World from day 1 and it’s so nice to see how the show has evolved to The Challenge and how several generations enjoy the series.

Free Agents was my first season that I watched live it is absolutely my favorite! Any season with CT and Diem instantly gets a gold star from me as well.

Your picks for the "great" tier are really top notch seasons. Some of the other seasons could have been higher on my list if the producers had actually put a little more effort into making sure that every time wasn't a cake walk for Bananas or anyone coming in with an automatic alliance of 10 people unwilling to vote for them. It made a lot of the seasons super predictable buuut, I think that's also why we like Free Agents so much (despite the outcome).. because you really had to fend for yourself and more challenges should be like that.

I greatly disagree with u about Battle of the Seasons 1. It is one of my favorite seasons to date. Sure it had its flaws but it was still great. It was also the rookie season for so many players including The Miz & Coral
First Challenge I saw was Vendettas, then skipped Final Reckoning, saw a few episodes of both War of The Worlds and then I saw the whole Total Madness season. Awesome seasons, but then I found Free Agents clips here and it became my favorite season👍👍👍

for the most part i completely agree with your rankings. only changes i'd make is putting gauntlet 3 a little higher for the cast and drama alone. maybe in the "okay" tier. i'd also bump up gauntlet 2 to "good". it's a solid season with so many memorable moments and its the season that made me a hardcore derrick fan.
War of the worlds 2 I thought was actually not that bad, everyone hates it for the way the politics controlled the game but I found it to be the perfect game played by paulie and cara politically at least not challenge wise.
We can blame Josh and Laurel for all that bullshit that happened 😂
I believe there are two takeaways from War of the Worlds 2, those two takeaways are always put quality over quantity and not let egos lead to a downfall of the team.
Well if the good people would have stayed then it would have been 10x better. Laurel was gone way too soon. Bananas and Bear also went home way to early. Then we had boring people stay like Kam, Dee, Ninja, Rogan, Kayleigh, & Joss

I thought the list was great. I would personally just switch the Duel 1 and 2. The Duel 2 had less DQs and really showed who the best competitors at the time were.
I loved the island.. for Evelyn. I loved how miserable everyone was due to the elements... Really dug into the mental challenge
imho the problem with vendettas is that it peaked too early? like yes, getting all the Big characters out early is WILD to watch but then it kind of fell flat right before the final
Hard disagree on the placement of WOTW2. Rewatching that season knowing how it plays out is just... delicious. The format was bad, but the narrative arc of the story it tells is satisfying.

Other than Devin being on it, because he is the worst, why is Rivals 3 trash?!?!?! We have the most iconic moment of Bananas stealing Sara's money, and all the drama with Tony and Camila. I would have put that in the good category.

As usual, Great video & Great Tiers! I strongly agree with the 'Great' tier list. The only couple I disagree with are Gauntlet 3 and Bloodlines being ranked so low. Yes, I hated the ending of Gauntlet 3 (Big Easy's fault lol) but it was still a fun season to watch mainly because of the cast. Bloodlines had lots of drama and some of the challenges were pretty good.

I feel like Rivals 3 gets knocked down a lot by a lot of people, but the main pull of that season for me that has me coming back is watching the relationship between Bananas and Sarah grow. They are obviously the focus of the season and their beef has the most weight out of everyone on that season. Plus, we got Cory and Ashley which was an ICONIC duo.
But Vince was on there and too much of the shitty AYTO people.. trash lol
That season had a strong twist but it was honestly lacking good storylines plus the cast was not strong.
I worked as a marketer for Mtv and worked specifically ona few challenge seasons. One was the Rivals 3, Johnny was popping adderall the entire season and specifically was using huge doses during the two part final. He had an advantage specifically when it came to them standing on the logs overnight. We caught him with adderall in his coat after the final challenge and MTV only gave him a 5k fine. Its nothing compared to the 250k he won
I would personally put dirty 30 a little higher up only because we got introduced to rookie of the season Tori and she is a freaking delight 😃💖

I bought Total madness and I was so dissapointed. I saw the trailer and was so exited but I did not like the season. I likes the people Like Kaycee, Tori, Jordan, and Nany but I don't like Jenny, Dee, Rogan, and the Bayleigh-Swaggy couple. Thoes challenges were boring. And the Final was like the worst when TJ was hyping it up.

I definitely think Rivals is the best season of all time. It makes me sad that we may never get a cast that good again, like talk about a completely juggernaut of a season. We got freaking CT and Adam on a team, genius. I think the only way to make another season that good would be the Friends season you pitched.

Its hard for me really distinguish these off the top of my head bc I dont remember alot of things from the older seasons, and I also didn't start religiously watching until rivals I. I'll have to really think before I can give my opinion. What I do know is I did LOVE the rivals seasons (even 3)
Yes yes and yes. The Duela and Rivals 1 and 2 my favorite of all time. Pure perfection! Are you that young because Im 29 and been watching from the very beginning the show on tv. I haven’t done rewatch or anything, I have tuning in every week to watch the premiere of every episode of all 35 seasons!
Rivals is a fire trilogy in need of a 4th. Absolutely hate the twist & how it ended for Sarah but Rivals 3 cannot be in the trash section. Lol sadly.
Least favorite: Bloodlines. It’s hard to endure knowing what Cara did to Abram during it.
Free Agents is the best & it makes me excited even more for Double Agents because 36 looks like a twist of WOTW, Total Madness & Free Agents all in one.

Rivals 3 I felt the competition wasn't very high and it was kind of predictable that Sarah and Bananas would 1) make the finals and 2) win. Thew twist I felt was a huge get punch. I disliked Bloodlines from the twists, the format and all that. It is rough to watch. I can't wait for Double Agents. It's gonna be so fire. Thanks for watching and commenting! @@AngelcakeVids so now that it happened, Double Agents not so fire. The daily challenges stunk. There was very little drama outside of the competition. I was happy that CT won but that was about it.
The great thing about the show is they change up the formula every season, but the Island took it way too far. No eliminations, challenges, or even a FINAL? Just weird 3 person face-offs then a vote. I was glad it was short.
As one-sided as it was, Battle of the Sexes II was highly entertaining and had the best roster imho.
Tj should do a season with all the vets an Og champions u kno like a regular season an in the middle of the season bring in teenagers to be paired up wit vets so something like war of the worlds but with teens it could be Called Invasion ll or something tho u should make a video about this idea🤷🏽♂️ tho.
There's no way in hell MTV could afford to insure a bunch of teenagers to hang out with these crazy people. Especially since some of them are near 40 now. But that is an interesting concept I'd be happy if they just did an OG season with like bananas, mark, Rachel, Robin, Landon all those old people lol

The ruins takes me BACK, I think it was the one of the first reasons I remember watching. I do think BOTE2 deserves a higher ranking but thats just me. Invasion of the champs could have been AMAZING if it was formatted differently :( Again, hard agree on the good seasons, definitely love seeing how much legends have grown from fresh meat seasons. Free Agents was peak challenge format imo
The first Inferno challenge is still my all time fav. I watched it as it aired and could not believe the type of drama it pumped out considering this was 2004. Veronica vs Katie, Coral vs Julie, Julie trying to literally kill Veronica... 🤣🤣

I am really sad you put all the OG seasons in the bad section... those are the ones that i watched while i was a teen and made me fall in love! i had stopped watching for a while and started back up with invasion of the champs! (becasue of my massive crush on CT in high school.... and who am i kidding now) and that got me hooked again so i agree with it being up high!
The OG seasons were great for the time but looking back and comparing to say the era of Fresh Meat 2 up through Battle of Exes 2 those seasons are kind of bad. Nostalgia just keeps them near and dear to us
The island is better than people think. Yea johnny n kenny were dicks but it was a short and sweet season with Evelyn's storyline. I would put it in meh. Gauntlet 3 needs to be higher. Yea vets wrecked but the dramas very good the cast is stacked the eliminations aren't bad. Also dirty 30 and invasion maybe a little higher

You ranked both Duels, Inferno II and Cutthroat high which are some of my favorites so I'm biased to side with and support this ranking. Duel I is my favorite.

Rivals 1 was great but I think the ruins was carried by the drama that was going on. It kept it interesting to finally see wes and Kenny after Kenny and Johanna hooked up.
