Nice presentation. Have to wait a few Weeks till my new Rod arrives to cast the 30cm Version. How is it going with the Single Hook in the back? Heard from others that by casting, the Single plops out after a few Casts, so they put a second treble in that place.
Has anyone else had a problem with these lures tearing at the hinges after use? I have had 2 tear at the rubber hinges at the top and bottom and wrote to savage gear about the problem and guess what no reply from any of there sites. Shame cos they are so realistic in the water.
Yes I've a 20cm trout which has tore at the hinge, exposing a fine mesh material. Had maybe 5 fish on it before this happened. Apart from that slight problem the rest of my line thrus have survived well considering they are a soft plastic bait... great lures
Yes, but they are nowhere near as bad as Westin lures, I had a Westin Mike the pike fall apart after catching 1 fish. Its for that reason I won't buy any more rubber lures, they break too easy. The Savage Gear 3D hard plastic lures are much better value and they look exactly the same as the rubber lures. Sorry, but this is NO "tutorial" whatsoever. A tutorial would involve RIGGING OPTIONS & METHODS, AND HOW TO DO THEM, AND POSSIBLY "TIPS & TRICKS". This is nothing more than "a review". I love the lure, I've got the smallest version in wild golden shiner. But I can't use it right now in only 3 to 5 feet of water full of stumps & laydowns in my favorite big bass lake, until I can find an effective way of rigging this bait with the hooks ON TOP. I've already read a number of reviews saying the lure does NOT swim right with the hooks rigged on top of the lure.......and I'm hoping to find someone who has figured out a trick for top-side rigging that corrects the swimming action & attitude of the lure through the water........AND I CAN'T FIND NO SUCH VIDEO ANYWHERE.
