Hi Cindy, when ever we do a campground overview we try to keep our goofy personalities out of them lol thus way viewers can just focus on the property and decide if its a place they would like to stay. We really appreciate your comment, it made us both smile!!
Moving Forward The campground was very nice. Our next trip starts today. Trying out our newest truck for the first time. We can see how it pulls Donner Summit here in calif.
Hi Cindy, it one of our favorites despite the bathrooms. We can not wait to hear how it goes with the new truck, keep us updated. We are sure you will be fine.
Looks like a nice campground. I agree bathrooms/bathhouses have to go. We never use the campgrounds bathhouses since we have our own. Come to think of it i haven't even been in or seen the inside of most bathhouses at campgrounds we visit. Oh and nice job narrating Ken. Stay safe.
Hey RV Habit, Thanks it took me many tries and believe or not that was the best one lol. The Camp ground has 7 of these bathrooms throughout the grounds and they all looked like that one. We feel like they could close 6 of them and start remodeling them one by one. Everything else at the park is no nice and clean we don't get why the bathrooms can't be too. We mentioned it to the front desk and they said they were aware and are planning on doing something about it.
Going to the Hershey Pa. camper show for sure, just made the arrangements today. Will only get one full day, Thursday. Now I will get a taste of how they feel and what way to go. Can't wait.
Hi Calico, you are going to have a great time, it's an Awesome show!! We had a blast last year and are going back this year just for the fun of it. We will be there Saturday and Sunday
AWwww I only wish I could have done a weekend but figure maybe less people on Thursday plus that was the only why my schedule worked out well maybe see you there next yr.
Thursday will be a great day to be there! This show gets packed, it's the largest show in the country and it brings people in from all over. You made the right choice hitting it on a weekday.
We prefer ours too, if the bathrooms are nice and we do not have sewer hookups, but otherwise we are with you we much rather use our own. Hey by the way are you guys on Twitter or Instagram?
I found you guys on there and we are now following you. I'm really bad with it too, I'm learning though. So far I like the Instagram better, don't know why but it seems easier for me to use. I usually just snap a picture of us at a campground or where we are with a short caption.
Hey there, glad to see you guys made it to my neck of the woods, I live 3 miles from there on Rt 143 East, We like that Campground as well but with one downfall and that is the lack of night lighting, because at that campground near the lake you are in water moccasin country and plenty of raccoons and at night with no street lights to light up your path during a night walk you could step on one of the natural visitors there. the daytime recreation is great there with plenty to do for adults and kids, Next time in the Area give us a holler, RV Safe Out There.
Hi MaxChase1, It does get dark there, I remember putting my hand in front of my face and couldn't see it lol. a lot of the state parks have been like this also. I am sure we will be back there and we will give you a heads up of when. Take care and safe travels!
Hi Kenny and Sabrina I'm Kevin and My wife is Liza we enjoy watching your videos. We are about a year away from purchasing our 1st Rv. We are taking our time in selecting the right one. For starters we will not be full timers we plan on doing that in about 2 years. So for now we are using the time watching TH-cam Vids for the do's and don't and checking out the recommendations off places to visit. We are currently subscribers of Moving Forward,The Motor Home Experiment and the Rv Geeks. If you have any other suggestions we would greatly appreciate it. Well best of luck and Happy and safe travels.
Hi Kevin, Thanks for putting us on the same list as the Rvgeeks! Lol. They are our favorite channel, we learned so much from them. We also learned alot from were the Russo's and Gone with the Wynns. Nomadic Native is another great channel that does a mix of places to go and RV tips and tricks. The RV forums are also a great source for info.Usually we tell people our best advice is to take your time and research like you have never researched before. But it sounds like your doing that already. We also say when shopping for an RV to go as small as you can and still be as comfortable as possible without compromising anything. You don't want to look at an RV and say yeah we can make that work, because believe us you will have plenty of other things that you will have to make work while on the road. We always say go as small as possible because it just makes it easier on a daily basis to drive and maintain as well as fit into any campground or gas station. Feel free to message us anytime with a question we almost always reply and are more than happy to try and help. Happy shopping!
Hubby will use the bath houses in places that we stay in. I'd rather use our RV bath. I think I have too much shower stuff and it's just easier to shower in the RV. LOL One of the trips we took a couple years ago, hubby didn't put the drain plug in our water heater, so we didn't have hot water for that weekend. I told him that would NEVER happen again! I had to boil water to wash dishes. That wasn't fun! LOL
Yepper those showers would have sent me right back up to the office to ask them to kindly have someone take a gallon or two of bleach and SCRUB them a soon a maintenance person would be available. It's very seldom that the office personal know the condition of the bathhouses unless a camper tells them... It's amazing how quick they get them cleaned when you ask them in the right way. And NEVER ask them in threatening tone or manner, you'll get nowhere if you do... Just be kind and respectful knowing that there's not always someone there 24/7 to clean the bathhouses... I've always waited till noon of the following day to see if they'd been scrubbed before I went back up to the office to ask why they hadn't been cleaned.... I've only had to ask twice once in 30 years of camping. And I've made sure to thank them for keeping clean, it's always nice to hear that a person is thankful for the job you've done. A kind word can make a persons day... Most of the campgrounds we've stayed at have had nice clean bathrooms when it wasn't raining. Then they did their best to keep them as clean as humanly possible. It's kind of hard to keep them clean with people tracking muddy feet into them on rainy days...LOL... If I just happen to be going to the bathroom when their cleaning them I've always thanked them for doing a good job at keeping them clean Thanks for a nice over view of that campground... Be blessed...BBE..
Hi BBE, The first time we stayed at this campsite they asked us how we were enjoying our stay and we told them it was wonderful except for the bathrooms. They said they know the bathrooms are in bad shape and that they were trying to figure out what to do with them. When we were telling them the bathrooms were not clean someone else walked in and told them that they watched the cleaning company go into the bathroom dump the trash and leave. We think their best bet it to fire the company that maintains the 7 bathhouses on the property and hire someone new. The Campground gets bad reviews all because of the bathrooms and it's a real shame since everything else is so nice. We really enjoy staying here and wouldn't want them to close because of just dirty bathrooms. It's a large campground and even at peak season they had over 100 sites empty, I guess all we can do is keep reminding them about them everytime we go. We are just glad we don't have to use them lol.
Lol! I'm sure the look on my face was pricelss. I was trapped at first. I wouldn't touch the door to get back out of the bathroom. Came up with a stall door foot opening technique so i could get toilet paper to let myself out! 👍🏾 Lol. Thanks for watching.
Well Craig our best advice is probably take your time and research as much as you can. When you are checking out RV's try to pretend what a day would be like in it. Go through a pretend day of waking up and doing some of your normal routines such as a place to get dressed, what will your cooking look like and how much pantry space will you need, where will your clothes and shoes go. Kind of play house for a bit in each RV and see which are the most comfortable and that doesn't even get into the specs of an RV like water, propane storage, and holding tank capacities. It's alot to think about and plan for to say the least lol and feel free to ask us questions or bounce ideas off of us at anytime. We will do our best to help you out.
Hi Everybody, Sabrina and I will be doing our next live stream video, Monday at 7:00 PM EST. Hope you can join us!!
I just booked this campground for the end of June. Thank you for the review.
Hi Ken, Let us know what you think, the last time we were there they were working on upgrading the restrooms. Hope you enjoy your stay!
I missed seeing the two of you in this vlog. We like seeing your faces.

Awesome!!!👠🚌👠
Glad you enjoyed the video, it's been years since we've been to the campground. Hopefully it's still as nice as it was when we last stayed there.
Awesome video- new friend here- I live in Newport News - the park is beautiful-

Pretty nice besides the showers, Candace will use some campground showers. I always use ours, don't like public bathrooms or showers at ALL!
We prefer ours too, if the bathrooms are nice and we do not have sewer hookups, but otherwise we are with you we much rather use our own. Hey by the way are you guys on Twitter or Instagram?
I think we are on both now but Candace is handling the social media, I know the twitter is campingwiththekellys@kellysrvtravels
Ok cool, we will look you guys up
I think Candace already looked up everyone we watch but don't know who all she found, I'm social media illiterate LOL
