Tony good video, i have been using thermions since they 1st came out, bought the thermion 2xq50 pro lrf a few months ago, had trouble accurately rangefinding, with it, so i checked the orientation of the LRF BEAM,,, the lrf beam was verrical !! So its veey easy to get false readings feom beyond the animal especialy in flat ground,!! My axion xq38lrf has an orizontal beam, which coincides with the bottom line on the targeting box, ao i just put that line on the animals feet ,and you get an accurate reading, its easy to see whether you have a vertical or horizontal beam, just use a normal nv scope, and you see the beam easily, and you can work out, what part of the targeting box it coincides with for more accurate rangeing,, big mistake by pulsar!!
Great info mate! Unsure if Stu has checked that with NV, but you'd think the new top of the line scopes would have factored all that in. Hopefully anyway! 🍻
Yes tony you would have ,i was very disaapointed with my lrf,the unit itself is great! , just waiting for the new firmware to drop here in the uk, to get rid of that stupid size x as the ballistic aiming mark@@tonygillahan
Wish I had watched this video before buying the LRF HD. The picture deteriorates even further at longer ranges. Sorry I paid the money. Best video i have seen on this scope.

@sautoter411 yeah I remember the oversize X on the XP50 2 LRF, but the XL50 has a much better ballistics aiming point 👌
See if they can sort the PIP issue while they are at it. Scope is useless if you want PIP off.
