Get your popcorn pick!
Watch Carlito's Way here: • Carlito's Way
A Puerto Rican former convict, just released from prison, pledges to stay away from drugs and violence despite the pressure around him and lead on to a better life outside of N.Y.C.
To think that Sean Penn only did this for the money because he hated the script. For something he hated, he knocked it out of the park with his transformation and character.
Penn ran circles around pacino in this movie. Incredible.
A true professional. Kinda reminds of how Ray Liotta didnt care about video games but when he did voice acting for Grand Theft Auto he gave 110% and a fantastic performance.
@@emptiesterNo Pacino was incredible. Sean Penn is overrated a poor man’s Mickey Rourke
One of Al Pacinos best roles 👏
You're off your head. Pacino is untouchable in this.
"It's in a box under the register, I was gonna tell you" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣I know...rat bastard hilarious but
el Gordo Porcel ! Que recuerdos. Argentinian comic from the 80's.
looked like he only got a couple of grand
Kills me everytime
Al Pacino's performance in this movie is one of the all-time underrated roles. The whole chase sequence is a master class.
That’s DePalma
agree
@@richardstevens8839 uh... yeah... he directed it. Im not sure your point.
I do not know, the film is not the best. Maybe rated properly?
You know, for some reason people rate the way it is rated...
"I'll cut cha fawkin liver out" that line was crazy
Absolutely
My part
That scene was mad, I would've forgotten that this is a movie and given him my life savings he was that convincing 😂😂
His old reflects came back there.
One of the best gangster films, hands down
Imagine that Carlito didn't actually run from that basement underneath the trap door. He just hides in the corner and the mob is running around all outside looking for him, lol.
He had a train to catch.
Then how’d he get to the subway station? Lol
@@mike47734 True. I was pretty smashed when I made that comment :)
Like gangster
"There he is! Come on!"
The fat guy's heart sank.
It's Johnny Boy Soprano!
He was a saint!
I was wondering who that was. Thanks.
@ultimate0706 I can hear Her voice when I read Your comment. Lol. "I wish the Lohhd would take Me now."
Make no mistake, Bernthal was great as Johnny Boy Soprano, but I really wish we could've seen more of Joseph Siravo's performance as that character
its old man bacala *cough* *cough*
I remember seeing this movie in the theater when it came out. I was on the edge of my seat during this scene and didn't even know it, great movie.
Poor Carlito!!!!! I saw this movie when I was 13, in the theatre, with my father; and understood everything about it.
It made me cry a little.
Hope your pops is still with us and kudos to him for taking you to see such a supremely fine film. 💪🏾
Thats Jorge Porcel, he was huge, in more than one way, in Argentina..
This movie is the very definition of suspenseful. If you're trying to run for your life its hard to say if you'll react decisively AND logically
Can he run insted of casually jogging. That would have sold all his problems.
I love all the running in dress shoes lol, they totally kept it real. Pacino's feet must have been killing him at the end of the day!
Oh shit right😂😂😂
Should have kept a pair of Converse in his secret room under the bar.
@@soakingbook 🤣🤣🤣
He got a nice long rest after he got to the train
That mafia guy in the back trying to run 😂
When he hauls ass, he’s gotta make two trips.
Yup😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂 it was the SEVENTIES. HAHAHA. Men and dieting were MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.
IKR ? I had the same thought. Big fat guy trying to keep up....😆
"We don't run. It's embarrassing." - Junior Soprano
Why Carlito didn't jump in that taxi waiting out front and say, "Airport, FAST," I will never know.
Wasn't in the srip"
He was headed to the train station not the airport
The Foot chase adds suspense and drama
taxis are 24/7 in the 70s in the bronx, you know nyc
Cause the Police are Suspecting him about the Murder in the Boat,
they could easily trace him at the Airport, so He decided to take the Train going to Miami then fly to the Bahamas
3:25 Taglialucci didn't choose the best team for a chase.
Jonny Soprano never had the makings of a varsity athlete
Oooooooooooh, the language on you, do you blow your fawtha with that mouth???
never seen this movie;
but fat mobsters running will always deliver a smile
We don't run! It's embarrassing.
@@dwl3006😂Sopranos right ?
@@RW77777777 this movie is one of my favorites. If you like anything you see in this clip this film is a must watch. Its got so much going. The acting. The pace. The consistency. The depth of an otherwise cliche story. Its somewhat lost today, but i recommend checking it out 100%.
or MLB player Daniel Vogelbach running the bases
@dwl3006 the 5 yard dash!
0:19 LMAO at Saso just laughing his ass off
Lady marmelade fits so good here
When he threatens to cut his liver out was legitimately scary
That guy who played Sassoon must've spoiler himself after that😂😂
Always wondered.. couldn't Carlito take a cab
Not possible because that takes waiting in the sidewalk to catch one
1:14 Johnny Soprano right there.😂
This was a once in a lifetime experience..to see great actors like this come together
That Chasing scene was Pretty Intense
Yes indeed.
"Cartlito's Way" - Great Film starring Pacino and Sean Penn.
Now i see that Gta Vice City isnt only based on Scarface but on Carlitos Way even more.
You know when I was a kid I preferred Scarface. But now that I’m an adult and have more insight I prefer Carlitos Way. It shows depth in a character and confliction thus humanity.
The actor who played Pete was also with Pacino in Serpico. Had a role in Ghostbusters 2 as well (ConEd foreman).
He was the owner of Killer & Nibbles in Half Baked as well.
I just read last night that he died on May 19th. RIP.
@@buffythehaterslayer6918 yes 😓
@@Metsfan7232 He was pretty good in this movie.
He also played Moron #2 in Midnight Run (1988).
So much better than scarface
I actually agree. Saw scarface when i was young because of the hype when all the rappers on mtv cribs were hyping it, theb i saw it and was disappointed
And yet they both influenced gta vice city 😊
Truth.
Chill out big fella!
The two can’t even be compared
Tony Sopranos dad in the old days lol
But did he have the makings of a varsity athlete?
😂😂 Only Uncle Junior knows the answer 😅😅😂😂😂
Or maybe this was that long lost uncle that Tony Soprano started to find out about lol
Wow! Thanks to you I made the connection. I knew I recognized him.
❤i like Carlito calmness and nerve .
Patrick Doyle’s thunderous, tense filled score. He also did the music to Donnie Brasco.
Never knew the argentinian legendary comedian Jorge Porcel was in this movie at 0:44 wow
Fue una de sus ultimas apariciones en cine. El ya vivia alli en eeuu. Un grande de argentina.
I was gonna tell you.
Then you didn’t see the movie
@@SansoHumar I was a little kid when it came out; of course I didn’t 🤣
Later on TV I only caught the ending once; very sad
That fat old guy at the beginning its Jorge Porcel, an Argentinian comedy legend, mainly in the 70’ and 80’.
Al Pacino had a bit of a hard time trying to rehearse his lines with Mr. Porcel because Mr. Porcel didn’t know hardly any English.
@@jdrs4214 yes, i read some comments about it but didnt know. it was his last appearence in a film. He moved to Miami in 1991 and died there in 2006.
I remember seeing him as a kid. He had beautiful women in his shows .
I woulda at least lose the leather jacket.😆
It's the 70s your obviously a youngster
The leather jacket was the only thing hiding his piece....he would draw much attention without his jacket with his gun showing to the Subway public....plus, gives him style lol
Leathers also good armor. Marines used to wear leather collars to prevent edged weapon attacks and damage
@@davidleblanc7563Good armour? Carlito still got popped by a silenced.32 caliber that didn't help at all
@@AlanFlores-vj4rm against cuts. A good leather jacket makes good armor against cuts and punches. A knife will go through shirt and hoodie like butter, or even worse, get stuck. But a good leather jacket can absorb a cut.
The bad part of it is that you ruin a good leather jacket which is almost as expensive as getting stabbed haha
5:15 could have just jumped off between the train carts right there. Guess that wouldn't have been "dramatic" enough I guess
Leave it to the “brothers” to f up the day.
Look how young Johnny Boy is!
Absolute classic movie....same as scarface
0:33 - 0:59 classic Al Pacino. I always loved this part.
My favorite saying, "Everybody Pays" lol
Love the music.
5:16 between the carriages, that was carlitos chance to jump off as the train pulled out.
That was quick thinking by carlito, all he needed was an excuse to go to the bar, where his money and the escape hatch were. Using the "cheap champagne" excuse was what saved him.
Saw This In The Movie Theaters In 1993😊.
My friend John Boy Soprano!
Saso is Jorge porcel the fat porcel the Best actor on comedy in argentina. Rest in peace Jorge.
Carlito certainly has a way about him.
Exactly. And OLD SCHOOL gangster ❤.
@@petergreen5337 Old school gangsters always got mortals and principles and kept a low-profile and used they heads smart as a Whip!💯🔥😌😎✨
Brian de Palma's masterpiece. Unforgetable
Director did well portraying the mobsters attire
straight up 80s
@4:20 picking up on Carlito's nervous behavior
Masterpiece👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Top 5 gangster movie of ALL TIME!!
Vinnie Barbarino and The Goombahs
Great movie 🍿🎥✅👍
He says he see him at the hospital yet if Carlos hadn't took the bullets from gun the guy would be dead .
Lol red birds trains didn't exist in the 70's but I still love this movie
Al Pacino is so cool. My man ❤
That's not the real 125th station on the 1 line. It's a station in Brooklyn on the 4th Ave line. Also, it doesn't go to Grand Central, it goes to Penn.
These Mafia guys wouldn't cut in now days. These cartels are so much more ruthless and scary.
theres no cartel in america, they are more powerless than a street gang when they try to get in america
Gordo Porcel!!! Que descanses en Paz genio!
He had time to have got away, had he not ran in a straight line but ducked down the side streets.
He's the target of a mob family.
Sasso. Great movie
@@user-bt6gh7ul9w used to be Ron.
Totalmente excelente esse filme .
Smokes booze and pasta doesn’t help cardio.
Great editing.
By Bill Pankow and Kristina Boden. Pankow has edited a few DePalma films
Hlavně mi neříkej, že už zase jste v Bodeguitě mafiáni 😂😂😂😂
Takový zvraty😂😂😂❤
Funny. They running like ghost busters
Great movie with a shitty ending. Let him get away with the girl. Tf difference does it make. Where's the alternate ending.
Look who it is, johnny “boy” soprano
Highly recommended movie
A friend of mine? A mobster address his boss as a friend of mine, only a friend of ours. There's no way he doesn't know that.
Makes me wonder what if there was a Crossover between Carlitos Way and Scarface. 🤘🏼💀
The bullets he threw in the garbage were his ticket home. Only Vinnie knew his true accomplice was whoever took the rounds out of Dave's 357.
Wait, so they realized it was him because he said, "I hadn't seen him lately".
The guy in the white suit looks like a Fat Rowan Adkins 😂 Mr. Ah Beannnss 😂
That guy was the late Jorge Porcel, an Argentinean comedic actor from the early 60's to early 90's, who alongside other great actors made many long lasting sketches and films which turned them into landmarks of humor in South America. Sadly in the mid 90's his health condition drastically deteriorated (Parkinson alongside severe overweight) and by the end of the decade he could barely move, let alone talk. He died in 2006 and was one of the last survivors of the original group which started in the 60's and in 2015 the last member (Gerardo Sofovich a man who started, acted and created many shows alongside Porcel) passed away forging the end of an era.
Comedic actors love to laugh I think he’d laugh at the connection.
Benny that guy caught him lacking
I don’t any of those dudes chasing are varsity athletes
😂🥛
Always reminds me of the Ending Chase on Bill Cosby's movie "Lets do it Again"3:07😁😁😁
Jorge porcel..sasso.ron.en argentina crecimos con sus peliculas
The lawyer in Grand theft auto Vice City is made from Sean Penn’s character in this movie
Loved porcel. Good and funny guy
The mob guys son has the scrunchiest face
3:17
Slowest running of all time 😂
Johnny soprano always put in work
Bringing Bobby Biggarelli to a hit was probably not the smartest move.
Siravo with that typical ' i smell s*** ' expression on his wop face.
We don't run right there in the restaurant
3:17 at that time I didn t know if it was a gangsta movie or a comedy anymore ....
I love Al Pacino 🌶️🔥
Coulda chilled in the cellar, but then no exciting chase scene
I always wondered what would've happened if he had made it to Florida..
Start back in the Cocaine business
@@andygossard4293 Noooo.. he said he wanted to go in the car business 🤣
I think those mob guys would’ve eventually caught up to Carlito. Someone at the club would’ve gave up his location.
In the movie Casino they caught up to this one guy in Costa Rica and took him out.
@@Supremmo Yeah, back then, the mob would track you down. "Where you going, jagoff?"
Love the Miami merengue music
That’s not 125th st. It’s 4th avenue train station in park slope brooklyn
BDP is a legend...
Movie is free on TH-cam.
Carlitos should have called an Uber!!!
If Carlito had of jumped off between the first and second carriage he would of been away, but I know this is Hollywood.Wow what a film one of Al Pacino's best movies IMO and the soundtrack is on point.
That's not even a couple thousand.
Marlene. I'm on my coffee break.
