I prefer this bag for general travel use over lighter, more compact packable backpacks from outdoor brands. It doesn't have that loud hikercore aesthetic. It makes a great daybag for conventions or tradeshows. I also considered the Bellroy Lite Venture packs, but didn't like how they looked when not fully packed out, especially with the saggy top pocket. Overall, the navigator collapsible collection are the only Nomatic bags that I find usable because they're not as overengineeree as their other bags.
Placement of the zipper to the main compartment next to the drink bottle is actually ok as a safety feature, perhaps inadvertently so I would view that as a positive.

16L is the perfect size for the las vegas trips and to not have a heavy backpack like at the fremont experience.

These collapsable bags are always a compromise somewhere. I used my on a one bag travel trip and it worked great.
Where is the compromise?
@@robingeorgetowntx thin straps, bulky for a collapsible bag, etc
@@RealMuperSan yes, I agree
is it water proof? didn't look like it
Looks like a good day pack. Too light weight for anything more. Straps are weak looking.
