You could probably just rough up the inside of the socket for the poly cap ball joints with a file or a little bit of rolled sandpaper to get more friction in the connection
Thickening would be more likely to stress and deform the socket in this case. Filing the insides clean of the chrome would give better friction, but you'd need a way to keep the chrome beyond the socket from chipping/flaking off.
That is a very real possibility, too. And trying to thicken the balljoints could make it even riskier (uneven coats of whatever is used to thicken them).
how about applying thin clear coat in the insides? i'm just worried that once the thin coat gets scrapped, it might damage the inside chrome as well then the chipping starts...
Hmm... A pity there's not a non-chrome variant cos that looks pretty gaudy... EDIT: Seems there might be as there IS a metallic version, which therefore means there's a NON metallic version i could get. EDIT 2: Nope, the kit is always chrome... Looks like i'll need a matte clear top coat then...

Maybe after sanding you could dab a little top coat with a paintbrush or a q-tip
Didn't this come out in the Buld Fighters Try: Island Wars?
I think so
The sword definitely looks better in the scabbard.
any tip on how to secure the joints more? do you think thickening them would work..??

+WhitzWolfCrusher i was thinking of the exact same thing, im just worried that the chrome might slowly get chipped by moving the arms around..

try clear nail polish or super glue

yeah no this gundam was made like 20 years before maple story
Super cool sd definitely worthy of number 400
it is cool its like if king ghidora and gundam epyon had a baby
or if gaogaigar had a chibi chrome dipped baby epyon
RED X SYNDICATE ..

Yeah absolutely based on the Epyon. It looks good, but it is one of the most frustrating SD's I've seen in a while.
I'm just happy I can get knights gundams true
