That drone camera is just utterly terrible. Missed practically all of the turn 1 chaos.
The need the drone pilot that does the Formula Drift events. Dude keeps it stable and gets so close to the action
@@bfife22agreed but not at the start of the race, it's very annoying you miss all the action. This has gone on at every event since they started using the drone. The start's not the right time for the drone.
It was also tuned like shit... Wobbling all over.

That final 20ish minutes was so confusing but to think that a bronze class car which pitted 7 times ended up as the winner is hilarious.

He was the one at fault, and they said it, they were just a bit confused if the porsche hit it or not. Got a DT, so perfectly judged in my opinion.
the commentators literally blame porsche all the time until the merc got DT. and they still yappin after that. they could have saw that already at 44:49 . it was so obvious no contact there.
There used to be curbing on the righthand side before Ascari, but now it is dirt. One touch under braking and you are in the gravel. That same thing happened multiple times over the weekend. There also used to be some savage sausage curbs on the insides of Ascari that are not there anymore
That was a good race but a bit confusing regarding the unusual mandatory pit stops, mid race car 46 took 2 stops during a FCY totalling 3 then a further stop making it 4 why ? I get they wanted Rossi to bring it home but they should have stuck Lello back in, he's way faster no offence to Rossi.
A bronze overall winner proves many teams also didn't understand the pit stop rules either 😂

The 3 mandatory stops also had a minimum stop time. So even though the WRT BMW's had to make a 4th stop because they took their 3rd mandatory stops under the FCY, they would only have to stop for a few seconds which made up the time lost by making an extra stop under the FCY.
@@daaanna9678 #46 Rossi stopped twice under a FCY , the 2nd of those 2 stops Rossi took fuel was that aloud ? That's the stop they took as the no tyre change / driver stop so are you saying one of those FCY stops wasn't long enough or was it cos they refuelled on the no tyre / driver change stop ?
And WRT should have put Marciello in on the 4th stop, there was no way Rossi was going to hold off the 51 Ferrari
@@Rapid_GT everything was ok with the two FCY stops for the #46. However there was more than 50 minutes of the race left so they still had to do a 4th stop, but, they only had to stop for just a few seconds because there was no minimum stop time for a 4th stop.
Compare that to the #51: they only did one stop during the FCY which meant their third and final pit stop still had to be done to the minimum stop time which is still quite long. That is why the #51 came out so far behind the #46.
I don't know why WRT put Rossi back in. I wondered that at the time.
@@daaanna9678 because Rossi's drive time was less than 50 minutes, at that time he just drove for 30 minutes.

i do like this series a lot, but this was a mess. clearly need some work on the rules around when a mandatory stop can be done (not with x minutes of the previous one?) and need to find some way of indicating the number of mandatory stops completed.

Is nobody else ganna call out the commentators for falsely accusing the Porsche for causing the contact in turn 1? Auer was at least a meter ahead of that Porsche, probably running an insanely rearward bias, the car pitched left as soon as he touched the brakes. John Watson needs to retire. Guy contributes nothing and gets pretty much every detail wrong, literally while he's looking right at it will still call it wrong smh
John watson is so boring and lost half the time.
Get rid of the drone,it looks awful and just ruined the race start for us to watch.
As usual the BOP for BMW in GT3 and GT4 is way off. All teams should race BMWs!

Nah. Just do what I’ve always said. Start the race and any restarts/safety cars on the back straight. Everyone should be spread out before turn 1. But what do I know? 🤷♂️😂

A lot gained during the many FCYs and lots of teams seemingly didn't understand or misjudged the pit stop rules for whatever reason

@@sargelamphier4617 Not really bad strategy if the race ran green to the end, all those cars from the Ferrari back to like the mustang at the time would have been the top positions in the race at the end. They all were on a strategy that would have had them finishing in good positions but that last safety car/fcy ruined it for them and took them all out. They can't predict that
