Anthony Ruggiano Jr. is a former member of the Gambino crime family, one of the five families of organized crime in New York City. He is the son of Anthony "Fat Andy" Ruggiano, a high-ranking Capo in the Gambino family. Anthony Ruggiano Jr. was involved in various criminal activities, including extortion, loan sharking, and racketeering. However, it is important to note that engaging in criminal activities is illegal and not condoned by any reputable organization or individual.
Reformed Gangsters: The Podcast, hosted by Anthony Ruggiano Jr., was created to capture the public's attention with compelling stories of mafia history while also offering tools and resources for mental health and addiction recovery.
This particular episode of the podcast features Anthony Ruggiano Jr.'s reaction to the recent Patrick Bet-David interview with John Gotti Jr., providing his insights and reflections on the discussion and its topics.
John Gotti Jr., the son of infamous Gambino crime family boss John Gotti Sr., played a significant role in organized crime, particularly due to his lineage. Born in 1964, he grew up under the shadow of his father, who was one of the most notorious mob bosses in American history. His significance in mob society largely stems from his status as the heir to the Gambino empire, his legal battles, and his eventual withdrawal from the life of organized crime.
In the 1990s, Gotti Jr. was officially inducted into the Gambino family and quickly rose to a leadership role. His father, known as the "Dapper Don" for his flamboyant style and media presence, was sentenced to life in prison in 1992, leaving a power vacuum within the organization. Gotti Jr. stepped in as acting boss, though his leadership was met with challenges both internally and from law enforcement. Unlike his father, who commanded fear and respect, Gotti Jr. faced resistance from other factions within the family, questioning his ability to lead.
Legal troubles plagued Gotti Jr., with multiple racketeering charges leading to several trials. However, unlike his father, he avoided a long-term prison sentence, with multiple hung juries preventing his conviction. By the 2000s, he claimed to have left the mob life behind, positioning himself as a reformed figure. His story reflects the shifting landscape of organized crime, where the old-world omertà code became harder to maintain under legal pressures and informants.
Gotti Jr.'s legacy in mob society remains controversial-while some see him as a failed boss, others believe he wisely stepped away from a life that ultimately led to the downfall of many high-profile gangsters, including his father.

@@mikevaldez7684let me ask you a question where are you from?
I wonder if you've ever done a single day in prison and be careful what you say because I'll call you out and make it back it up with facts right here in this comment section.. I have done time and I've seen some of the hardest men in the world broke and telling but I've also seen men stay loyal like myself to people that didn't give a shit about them now I have felonies on my record and served time for people I don't even talk to anymore because they betrayed me once I was doing time for their crimes
Anthony, you don't have to tell the Government of every past crime when you proffer. As you know when you cooperate you do have to admit
@@AnthonyRuggiano would you.ever consider interviewing marissa merico live s in blackpool u.k but hre dad was a godfather in calabria italy..her nan ran heroin trade..her husband was high up...part of the nangrettah calabria..they absolutely the real deal ..
I always liked Anthony. He's a guy who isn't interested in getting into silly beefs with other guys on the Internet.
You should have done this the day after the interview. The most important and amazing part of this video is Ruggiano being 36 years sober. That's absolutely amazing. Also glad to see the increase in video quality.
F'ckem!
@@Danny-sd5vm keep kissing butts ok
Great video, doesn't get more honest than that. No sugar coating, no avoiding facts, just straight to the point.
This is the best I've ever heard Andy speak. Well spoken pal. A long overdue subscription for me.
This was awesome to watch and the topics were obviously awesome as well. The increase in video quality was great as well.
@@Danny-sd5vmGlad you like it!
Out of all the mafia TH-cam channels this is my favorite one this guy is an original just like his dad.
This is your best post yet, Anthony! Keep them coming.
Thank you Anthony for being honest not picking aside but telling the truth on how history actually was
Finally, some honest and genuine talk!!! Thank you Anthony, you’re a real one 🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Congrats on being clean for 36 years brother, I know the struggles it takes to get clean and stay clean and it ain't easy, much love from Scotland ❤
Super video all the way around from story telling to production. When you used to go out with John Gotti Sr like to Regine’s, were you sober then? Would have been difficult.
Anthony is 1 of the best historical lcn storytellers hands down
Stellar content as always! You have such a talent for presenting information and telling your story..
Nicely done Anthony. The way you tell you’re story is so convincing, no bullshit coming out of your mouth either 👍
That was great. Appreciate you, sir. 🙌♥️🇺🇸
This was put together really well great job!🎉🎉🎉
Outstanding episode. With this, you have brought your channel up from an A to A+.
This is some of your best content yet. The tony pep story I never heard you tell before, and nicky corozzo telling you about the code. This was incredible stuff anthony. Your insight is top tier when it comes to this genre. 👌
This is great content anthony congrats on your sober journey 🙏🏻
I don't know why but just the way you talk I believe everything you say! I understand you were in between a rock and a hard place the way you grew up and understand how addiction would happen but you've overcome all the problems and are a good man now! Thank you for your intestresing stories!
This was awesome Mr. Ruggiano great video, everything from the way it was filmed to the editing was pristine. Kudos to you and your team
Thank you
One of your best Anthony. Thanks for sharing
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it.
I could listen to this stuff for hours
There a great documentary on TH-cam for a couple of years about the mob just put in mob documentary it’s from the bbc 👍👍
This video is excellent. It's a great format, looks so professional. Anthony is succinct , concise & engaging here. Great information and lore in one tight exciting video. Rivals the Bull! Good fking job!
“He oinked like a pig 🐖” 🤣🤣🤣 Howard Beach during the 80s & 90s was a different type of neighborhood 🤨
Imagine the noises that Frank Gotti made
Anthony, I respect the fact that you will not speak of the kid who died in the John Gotti bar brawl or DB's demise. You only speak of what's already available info.
Can't wait to see this Anthony!!! Your content is always 👌
Great content Anthony! Love from the UK 🇬🇧
Excellent Video Anthony, very well done.
Great clip and well put together. I love the background setting as well 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇮🇹
Excellent video Anthony💯. Keep this kind of production or format. Looks bad ass.
Anthony you’re 100% telling the truth about Alite with John Jr. I know this first hand. I sat down at your Mothers house on a Sunday for sauce when your Father called from prison. Man that pink bathroom was a time piece! lol… I was at your wedding as well. All the best you were one of the decent guys.
I appreciate your channel Anthony because you're genuine in your stories and respectful. God bless 🙏
Great camera work! Looks really professional!
Thanks! Glad you noticed. 👍
That was awesome Anthony,I was laughing when he said he’s a civilian. I couldn’t believe PBD didn’t asked him when did you become a civilian ?
Love hearing the stories great story teller my friend. Keep it up Anthony keep’’em coming.
Great mini interview .. thank you
Wow this is the best one yet.. thanks
Well done Anthony, great interview 👍
Love your interviews Anthony!
Thank you for stepping up, especially for John Alite. Everyone likes to bash the poor guy, but I feel he deserves to be recognized for all the work he put in for that ungrateful, spoiled little punk, Jr. Jr.'s lucky to be alive because a lot of guy's were out looking to pull his card. He's lucky he got out when he did. I appreciate your honesty and clearing the air like you did. Salut, Anthony!! ✊😎🙏
Why is Jr a punk but Alite is not. What’s the difference? Maybe people bash Alite for the lies he tells. Gotti snrs hitman? Alite co-operated, where were his 302s on the murders he did for Gotti snr, I mean the man was in on the Castellano hit.
You have to remember a lot of these stories are just that, stories. A lot of guys looking to make some money from TH-cam. A lot of people gave their life’s for this just for people to lie about history years later to make a buck.
Great quality keep em coming like this
Tuning in from, Melbourne, Australia! Love the content! ❤❤
Outstanding interview
Really enjoyed this video. I respect how you challenged his story in a respectful civilised manner. In particular, when you made the comparison around 20mins about his legal treatment compared to others you made a great argument… If you’re the son of a prominent wiseguy and you’re in the life, they’re gonna come after you hard no matter what!
Thanks for the great upload, wishing you well from the UK.
I believe you and Sammy 💯
Anthony is always entertaining plus he was there thank you for the content this was excellent
Today everything is different. Anthony orders spaghetti with marinara sauce and gets egg noodles with ketchup….

You got that right.I haven't even watched it yet and I'm intrigued.I have always wanted to hear More from Anthony.I don't feel like he gives us enough.Someti get tired of listening to him.Cause he's a little too much on that religious tip.But when he just talks about the old days that's all I want to hear
@@DAD_979no.
@ I understand. I love the mob stuff too. At the same time, me and my family have addiction issues, often I actually learn a thing or two listening to Anthony. Also I think anytime a person older than myself speaks, it’s always good to listen. I love when he gets at Merlino though lol. They should do some kind of “battle podcast” or something. The old New York mob guys still left vs the old Philly mob guys. 🤷🏻♂️lol
Loved it ! thanks
Hey Anthony congrats on 36 years man that's awesome
Mr Ruggiano is possibly the only ex-mobster I totally believe when he tells his side of "the life".
Good show Anthony. Way to go on telling the truth. Alite was is right hand man.
Andy is favorite mob-caster. Hands down
I like your videos, you can tell you tell the truth about everything. No bs with you!
Good show brother
If there’s one thing you could say about this man is he speaks the truth
Christmas of 1988.. I was born Dec 5 1988...
You really step your channel up
Great stories man you are a good guy ... I don't care what they say about you 😂
FACTS!! Especially about Johnny Alite!!!!
Wots good about you is I think your very honest and not boasting type of a guy I personally think your father would be proud of you the way you've turned your life around a very likable guy god bless you
You should do more like this 👍
I couldn’t Fot!! My family was from Mulberry street. Music to my ears!👏😂
Thank you for this Anthony. I totally appreciate the insight you offered into the interview John Gotti Jr. did with Patrick Bet David. I felt a lot of what was said in that interview was very one sided, these types of one on one interviews usually are. Patrick Bet David isn't really a trained journalist, he's just a guy who does podcasts and he's been successful at them. But I would have liked to see Patrick do his homework and ask some better questions, and not just accept answers that Gotti Jr. gave him. Being more of a skeptic and conducting the interview from more of an objective journalistic point of view would have been better. Instead it came off as sort of a puff piece on Gotti Jr. and a platform for him to badmouth other individuals who were in the life. The community here on TH-cam (which we called Mobtube) thanks you for this video.
This was great.
Amazing interview ! Congrats man 👏
Thank you, much appreciated. Stay well.
Hey Anthony did you know Larry Mazza has an actual podcast that he does with his wife that cover sports betting on football....you should invite Larry on your show...he could use the boost. It's been on for 5 months he doesn't even have a thousand subs yet...and Larrys a good guy like yourself ...it's called inside straight with Larry Mazza...check it out 👍👍👍
I like Anthony because every time he speaks the end of his sentence gets higHER LIKE THIS . He could talk about anything but his voice always seems the eND HIGHER
Awesome!thank you for sharing
I enjoyed your perspective on his interview with PBD You have personal insight and knowledge that the average listener does not Always enjoy your podcast!!
That Juror went to jail because Sammy RATTED on him when he flipped . You left that part out. Big Gangster ratting on civilians. FACT
As opposed to big Gambino gangsters killing a civilian, like John Favara or Alan Kaiser? I think you have your priorities mixed up.
Once he accepted money to fix a trial he stopped being a civilian, he became a criminal in that moment and is now fair game.
@@HamiltonRbwho killed Kaiser, oh yeah the same guy that killed all his friends. Who is he now friends with? Favara killed Gottis kid what did he expect would happen. Not saying it’s right or wrong it’s just reality. He should have been ghost the min after it happened. A lot of people say it was the wife who pushed for it to happen.
Why are people on mafia channels then crying about people being killed? This all happened 30 years ago to people none of us know. So all the performative outrage is just that.
I love it. Nobody knows like Rugg
This is shot and edited really well.
This was great! Video is very good quality
Thank you
😮 excellent breakdown.
Anthony, that was one of the most stories you ever told.
When I was a kid there was a picture of my grandfather from the 1930's and he was dressed like a gangster. Immaculate suit, the hat, the whole 9 yards. So I asked my mom, "was grandpa a mobster?" She's was like "No, no. That's ridiculous." So I forgot about it. Years later I find another picture,. My grandfather is dressed like a gangster like in the first picture but this time he's wearing a fur coat too. In the middle of the great depression. So I pressed my mom. "Look mom, this was the middle of the great depression and granpda is wearing a 3 piece suit with a fur coat and a pinky ring. She still denies it "No, he wasn't a gangster".
"Then what did he do?"
"Well, when he was 15 he ran away from home because his father was abusive, so he started running liquor".
So he runs away from home at 15 next thing anyone knows he's wearing a suit and fur coat that cost a years salary.
"Mom, grandpa was a mobster, you gotta see that."
A little bit later I asked my mom the maiden name of my grandfathers first wife. Who just happened to be Sicilian. She asked why so I told her, I want to see what crime family she was associated with and my mom said "Well, he did mention that her 8 brothers were connected to the mafia somehow"
So then you understand grandpa was a mobster, right?"
"Don't be ridiculous, your grandfather wasn't a mobster."
I believe you and Sammy over any Goti lol. Great stuff Anthony. Thanks for sharing
Pietro 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Looking forward to it
I love your content man. More stories on Fat Andy and his crew will be very nice
Good Content
Best mob channel period
I'm serious man.. not blowing smoke. Your stories are the absolute best.
You can tell Anthony’s not telling lies when he tells his stories
Anthony Stabile was played by Frank Adonis in Goodfellas
