Anthony Ruggiano Jr. is a former member of the Gambino crime family, one of the five families of organized crime in New York City. He is the son of Anthony "Fat Andy" Ruggiano, a high-ranking Capo in the Gambino family. Anthony Ruggiano Jr. was involved in various criminal activities, including extortion, loan sharking, and racketeering. However, it is important to note that engaging in criminal activities is illegal and not condoned by any reputable organization or individual.
Reformed Gangsters: The Podcast, hosted by Anthony Ruggiano Jr., was created to capture the public's attention with compelling stories of mafia history while also offering tools and resources for mental health and addiction recovery.
This particular episode of the podcast features Anthony Ruggiano Jr.'s reaction to the recent Patrick Bet-David interview with John Gotti Jr., providing his insights and reflections on the discussion and its topics.
John Gotti Jr., the son of infamous Gambino crime family boss John Gotti Sr., played a significant role in organized crime, particularly due to his lineage. Born in 1964, he grew up under the shadow of his father, who was one of the most notorious mob bosses in American history. His significance in mob society largely stems from his status as the heir to the Gambino empire, his legal battles, and his eventual withdrawal from the life of organized crime.
In the 1990s, Gotti Jr. was officially inducted into the Gambino family and quickly rose to a leadership role. His father, known as the "Dapper Don" for his flamboyant style and media presence, was sentenced to life in prison in 1992, leaving a power vacuum within the organization. Gotti Jr. stepped in as acting boss, though his leadership was met with challenges both internally and from law enforcement. Unlike his father, who commanded fear and respect, Gotti Jr. faced resistance from other factions within the family, questioning his ability to lead.
Legal troubles plagued Gotti Jr., with multiple racketeering charges leading to several trials. However, unlike his father, he avoided a long-term prison sentence, with multiple hung juries preventing his conviction. By the 2000s, he claimed to have left the mob life behind, positioning himself as a reformed figure. His story reflects the shifting landscape of organized crime, where the old-world omertà code became harder to maintain under legal pressures and informants.
Gotti Jr.'s legacy in mob society remains controversial-while some see him as a failed boss, others believe he wisely stepped away from a life that ultimately led to the downfall of many high-profile gangsters, including his father.

I wonder if you've ever done a single day in prison and be careful what you say because I'll call you out and make it back it up with facts right here in this comment section.. I have done time and I've seen some of the hardest men in the world broke and telling but I've also seen men stay loyal like myself to people that didn't give a shit about them now I have felonies on my record and served time for people I don't even talk to anymore because they betrayed me once I was doing time for their crimes

Thank you for this Anthony. I totally appreciate the insight you offered into the interview John Gotti Jr. did with Patrick Bet David. I felt a lot of what was said in that interview was very one sided, these types of one on one interviews usually are. Patrick Bet David isn't really a trained journalist, he's just a guy who does podcasts and he's been successful at them. But I would have liked to see Patrick do his homework and ask some better questions, and not just accept answers that Gotti Jr. gave him. Being more of a skeptic and conducting the interview from more of an objective journalistic point of view would have been better. Instead it came off as sort of a puff piece on Gotti Jr. and a platform for him to badmouth other individuals who were in the life. The community here on TH-cam (which we called Mobtube) thanks you for this video.

Not saying it’s right or wrong it’s just reality. He should have been ghost the min after it happened. A lot of people say it was the wife who pushed for it to happen.
Why are people on mafia channels then crying about people being killed? This all happened 30 years ago to people none of us know. So all the performative outrage is just that.

When I was a kid there was a picture of my grandfather from the 1930's and he was dressed like a gangster. Immaculate suit, the hat, the whole 9 yards. So I asked my mom, "was grandpa a mobster?" She's was like "No, no. That's ridiculous." So I forgot about it. Years later I find another picture,. My grandfather is dressed like a gangster like in the first picture but this time he's wearing a fur coat too. In the middle of the great depression. So I pressed my mom. "Look mom, this was the middle of the great depression and granpda is wearing a 3 piece suit with a fur coat and a pinky ring. She still denies it "No, he wasn't a gangster".
    "Then what did he do?"
"Well, when he was 15 he ran away from home because his father was abusive, so he started running liquor".
So he runs away from home at 15 next thing anyone knows he's wearing a suit and fur coat that cost a years salary.
"Mom, grandpa was a mobster, you gotta see that."
A little bit later I asked my mom the maiden name of my grandfathers first wife. Who just happened to be Sicilian. She asked why so I told her, I want to see what crime family she was associated with and my mom said "Well, he did mention that her 8 brothers were connected to the mafia somehow"
So then you understand grandpa was a mobster, right?"
"Don't be ridiculous, your grandfather wasn't a mobster."
