Love all your chart choices, so my taste also. Your bold fabric choices are amazing, can’t wait to see how they look when done. Your enthusiasm is contagious 💕🪡🧵
Loved seeing all your new starts…fabric choice is fabulous as per usual. I’m really enjoying watching your progress and I’m always thrilled when a new floss tube pops up. I’m also super happy your son’s trip went well. 😊
I love all your new starts! I too, find much more joy in stitching new projects than turning them into FFO's. I have to be in the right mood to take on the task of finishing projects, as I'm not the greatest finisher. You will get there, but for now, you are really enjoying the starts!
Wow! Your progress on all your starts is incredible! You are such a fast stitcher, Michele! I love the pig in When Pigs Fly. Love what Donna told you about the FFOs. So true, but so tru to you, you needed to round up your FFOs to 50. That cracked me up 😂. I look forward to our start of The Light of Winter. I love that piece so much 🥰
Love seeing your joy when you're showing your new starts! I'm kitting up at least six new starts for New Years Eve. I enjoyed the idea of getting something started every hour to celebrate the new year.
Thank you, Doreen!💚 I don't know how many starts I can truly commit to on New Years with my family - but I will definitely have a grouping planned for the few days around it😊
So many amazing starts! You can do whatever you like, but I enjoy that you're actually getting into most of the patterns, and not just putting in 10 stitches and moving on. You seem to be getting a lot of joy out of seeing some of the bigger motifs come to life. I would find that more motivating when you pick it back up. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the WIP working goes when you're all started out. It's such a fun journey to watch.
Thank you so much, Emily💚 And I agree, it is even more fun that I am doing a fair amount of motif completion, and not just a few stitches to count as a start😊
Here's my story, and I'm sticking to it 😆! I was quietly watching Sew Me Sarah when she announced that she would be 50 next year. So she has decided to do 50 starts as well. And of course, Pam of Just Keep Stitchin has her 24 starts (which at the time I thought was crazy). But wait, it gets better. I am going to be 80 in April, and I told Sarah that if I were to follow her idea, I would have to do 80 starts in 2024. I laughed to myself, sent the comment and went to bed. Two days later I was still gnawing on the idea, and I started to pull patterns. Do I have 80 patterns? Oi, I probably have 12,080 if you want to included my digital purchases and freebies. Long story short, yes I have my box ready and waiting for January 1st. I am actually as excited as you are. Will I reach my 80 starts goal? Who knows, but it's te fun in trying. Good luck to you, and I will be subscribing to your channel. You just popped up on my feed so I decided to check you out. Was that karma or coincidence or both?
Thank you so much for sharing with me, Karen💚 Your plans sound awesome! And I LOVE that you said "will I reach my goal? Who knows, but it will be fun trying"! That is what this wonderful hobby is all about - JOY!!!🤗
My 50th is in January and I’m planning on joining your #Celebrate50startalong and I’m doing 24 in 24 which my 24 will be getting 24 new kits/patterns for the 50 starts. I’m so excited for January!!! Happy BIG 50 to US!!!
Happy early Birthday, Kristen!! Your plans sound fantastic!! Your comment of 24 in 24 made a lightbulb appear over my head! I have a particular project that will fit in those parameters AND it can be part of my celebration. 💚💚💚
It's A Wonderful Life is also one of my favorite movies!! It's not Christmas Eve without it. So glad you did both of your challenges this year. I have done a lot more finishing and, like you, I am loving all the new starts.
You are making it VERY not to kit up a lot of starts when I get back to my house for the Thanksgiving holiday! Your excitement is contagious. Thank you for the enablement and hope your 50th year is wonderdul!
@pennysdaughtershares8227 I will keep you posted! I am going to be 52 in February so I am not sure I can go that high but we will see! As you know, it all about which charts are calling you!!
Love it all so much and yay for the 1 Dec start for The Light of Winter - it will be lovely to start in December - it's beautiful! Happy stitching with those fabulous bags :)
So glad to hear your son’s trip went well and he enjoyed. All your starts are fantastic. My husband is quite an enabler and very supportive of my cross stitch obsession but he blanched when I said I was thinking of joining you! I had a good laugh. You’re doing a great job of being organized too. Can’t wait to see your next episode. Kathleen
Thank you so much, Kathleen💚 My idea for all these starts actually evolved from my husband's idea🙃 Your description of your husband made me laugh. But you didn't really tell me whether or not you plan to join me?😉
So enjoyed seeing all of your new starts and am glad you are finding joy in the journey! “It’s a Wonderful Life” is also my 😍 favorite! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
So Michelle - after careful consideration I decided to start or work on any of the projects I have either kitted up or started. I agree that we buy them cause we love them so why aren't we stitching them. I will keep you posted on where I am although I think I will wait until 1/1 as I'm working through my WIPGOs before year end! Thanks for the inspiration. You should be very proud of all of your finishes this year!
The starts are going along so well! I have joined you with the goal of 50 before your next birthday but am doing the starts more gradually. Sew Me Sarah is doing 50 for the same reason in 2024 so I am going to try to support you both.
Ooooohhh! I'm so motivated to start all the things!!!! I'll start 50 with ya! I'll start tagging my starts although I'm not very good at IG posting. Thank you for the wonderful eye candy and your beautiful stitching! XOXO Heidi
I just love everything you stitch. I would definitely stitch all of them. That fabric for the bird one is just gorgeous. Granpas flannel. Love a long video. You have such an eye for fabrics. Love those bags too. Been a pleasure watching now I want to start a bunch. I have like 6 going and it seems like alot but no it really isn't 😁
Ok girl you had me pausing your video and I called Country Sampler to purchase some Needle & Flax!😅 I felt it and saw it at my stitching guild today and after hearing how much you enjoy it, I had to go order! I love all your starts and really enjoyed seeing the project bags. Verb for companion is “accompany”??? Maybe?? Lol. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Yay! Can't wait to hear what you think about Rachel's linen😊 Thank you for answering the question stuck in my brain. Accompany!!!! If that is not technically the verb I was looking for, it would have worked perfectly! Thank you for sharing time with me, Lisa!💚
Loved watching this video!! Happened on it by chance,.,yay I also live in Michigan,.,actually mid-Michigan!! Do u ever do a local Stitchy group?? I need Stitchy friends!!
Thank you, Reva💚 If you are in mid-Michigan, are you familiar with Chantelle's 141 Design Co? She is working on her brick & mortar shop in Williamston. www.chantelles141.com
Hi there! I have not really watched your flosstube before but have followed you on instagram…seeing all the starts enticed me to watch your floss tube. So many fun starts. I won’t be doing 50 but am encouraged to do more than I have right now 😅. Can you tell me about the cabinet behind you? I really like it 😊
Thank you for visiting, Reonia!💚 The upper shelving (including drawers) was built by my husband with closet organizer components. The lower cabinet and counter is a buffet style cabinet that we bought at Home Depot several years ago.
Wow, 47 FFOs! Amazing! Here’s to another 3 for you rounding out your fabulous 50 year!
Thank you so much, Dawn!💚
Lovely to see how much joy all these starts are bringing you. The FFOs can wait 😃
Thanks so much, Liz!💚
Oh my gosh Michele! I love the plum Street Samplers birds! Actually love everything, beautiful stitching take care ♥️♥️
Thank you so much, Christina!💚 I have always liked the Plum Street bird charts, but now that I actually started them, I love them so much more!!
Can’t believe how speedy you are at all the new starts, but I’m so glad you’re having fun with them Michele.
Thank you so much, Sarah!💚 It doesn't feel very fast from my side🤣 - but that doesn't matter because it is so much fun!
Love all your chart choices, so my taste also. Your bold fabric choices are amazing, can’t wait to see how they look when done. Your enthusiasm is contagious 💕🪡🧵

It was really fun to watch you gush over all your starts - so glad you are enjoying this challenge! And I think your new nickname is 40 count queen!
Thank you, Jen💚 40 count queen and the year of the fringe 😂🤣😂
My first time here Michele. I am a Michelle too est.1973. Love all your wips. And those bags are to die for!

OMG, I thought Michelle was amazing with 50! You go girl! I gathered up my humble 24 in ‘24.
Nothing humble about 24 in '24!!💚🤗

Thank you, Tonya💚
Nice plan, wish I didn't have so many WIPs. Best Wishes to get a lot of progress on them all.
Thank you, Dee💚
Your stitching is so fine, new to your floss tube. I didn't think I would like to do the Fratur patterns, but the birds a really cool looking.
Thank you so much, Suzette💚

I am not using the labels on Seasons of the Heart either. I'm graphing the word and cross stitching on the bottom.
