Absolutely brilliant, Tim! I recall buying Haunted House back in 1979 or so when I was around 10 years old. I recall the joy I felt when I actually got to the second level/load, and it was so annoying! Nice upgrade!
Yeah...drop rope took about 3 hours of trial and error! I was about 11 years old or so as well. At that age, the game seemed very mysterious and atmospheric!

We also played an adventure game that had something to do with chasing down a "saboteur" in a nuclear power plant...(I think)...does anyone know the name of this game? I remember collecting different colored keys, throwing a recorder through a window to get the yellow key. Its funny what little shreds got stuck in my memory!
