I’m familiar with this story, this is local to me as I’m in Palm Coast. My heart definitely goes out to the families and I’m keeping hope alive for these two guys, I don’t know them but I know they’re firefighters and one was Navy (if I’m correct, a corpsman and veteran of Fallujah, Iraq) so that tells me they’re trained, resilient and won’t give up. I look forward to the day that they are reunited with their families, people have gone missing for far longer and came home by the grace of God.
Great video Joel and looking forward to more like this as far as information covered and length of time in video. Just did a quick look on Google into PLB’s and found a Garmin that I could use for active GPS as well as satellite text messages and has the emergency SOS feature for 24hr SAR. I’m thinking this would be a great addition for kit in the woods and would definitely bring it on a trip to sea (although I’ll be looking for one that is water proof as opposed to water resistant). I also want to find one with built in strobe for signaling.
Good stuff and looking forward to getting some training with you up in Jacksonville. Where can I get one of your shirts?

Hey man! I'm writing a screenplay for an animated short film and your video really helped out! Thanks for putting this sort of knowledge out there! Cheers!
