How the Marmalead grades work now

- Marmalead just released an update to how they do the grades and other features. This is a big change, so watch as I go through redoing a listing and explain what the grading features mean now.

I just discovered, by accident, suggestions for improving product’s description! This makes SO much sense!!
It's helpul!
I just started using this a few days ago and was curious about misspellings then I realized that I’ve added links in my descriptions… to see other small bags use this link, which is then includes a jumble of letters among words.
There’s more to learn but this has helped so much already…hoping it leads to more sales ( and I know I need to work on photos too).
I don't think they look at the descriptions for the keyword suggestions, but they are looking at searches on Etsy that other people are doing, so that might incldue misspellings.

Yes it does! You still have to decide what to change, but it gives suggestions based on Etsy searches that already exist, so it's not guessing.
Thank god you put a video out. I can't find any new training videos from Marmalead to explain their revised facilities which is a really poor show.

I cancelled Marmalead about a month ago because my Etsy store hasn't been selling anything for months. Now I will probably try it again.
There's a lot of good info in it.
I don't know why Etsy have removed the search and engagement figure from the tags panel because this was really useful.
I answered this in Facebook but here it is for other people: The reason they took the search and engagement scores out is that they're doing tags that aren't necessarily making sense now, which is how they've always really worked anyway. If you click on the button under that section that says "show my keyword net" it will show you all of the search phrases that can be made with the keywords that are in your title and tags, and that has the search and engagement numbers in it.
This makes more sense than the way it was set up before because Etsy has never looked at tags as individual units. They hop around inside your title and tags (and categories and attributes) to find words that match what the customer typed into the search box. My guess is that the tags that you're using will show up in the keyword net anyway with the search and engagement numbers, but you'll also see the other keywords that combining themin different ways will create.

The “about” came from your title where you had: about 1.75” long
I figured that out and I think i ended up removing it from the tags.
I've been debating moving from erank to Marmalead, but the price is just too big of a jump compared to $6 a month. :-/

I don't use any other tools so I have no comment about any of that, but I like the fact that Marmalead is using actual Etsy search info to create the extra tags etc.
Interesting move by Marmalead. I would be hesitant about going through and changing all listings in one go. But It might definitely be worth trying an old listing or two that hasn't been selling, to see what happens. I appreciate them being bold enough to change things up. And I appreciate you for creating this video. When I first saw the changes, I was like ut-o o o o. lol
This is exactly the way I've been doing titles and tags for years, so I was very pleased :)
As I said elsewhere I’ve started using Marmaleade and am in the trial period. They send a daily email with a daily task to complete. They strongly suggest NOT making all the changes at once but one a day, which I realize could take a while, however I didn’t read that until I’d changed about six listings to increase the grade.
