I think that was the point though wasn't it - how shaming is generational how it's passed on from daughter to daughter from mother to mother. how they internalise these things that hurt them and use them to hurt their own daughters later
My mom had me on a diet at that age. Tuna fish and mustard, no mayonnaise, on wheat bread with celery and carrot sticks for lunch and dinner. And I had to drink laxative tea. And this was the late 90s.
