As a storm chaser from Oklahoma. Yes can confirm that every tornado in this trailer is technically grounded in reality. The likelihood of getting a super tornado and an exceptionally strong fire tornado in the same event is very very low lol, it could all happen. Its hollywood and its gonna be fun
We need more storm chasers in this chat cause these FACTS are what I made the reaction for!! Love learning new stuff. God bless you for what you do out there!! Stay safe!! Woukd love if you share my video!!
Loving how everyone here in comments are storm chasers.... was gonna answer your questions but they went ahead with it lol. Still have my VHS of the original. ~Trained Storm spotter.
Hello! Loved the reaction! And actually, yes, tornadoes can be quite massive! The town that the finale is taking place in, El Reno, OK, experienced the widest tornado on record at 2.6 miles wide on May 31, 2013! It was a very fascinating but tragic event because it was the first time storm chasers were actually killed by a tornado while on a storm chase. That part of the film is probably going to be a what if scenario since the El Reno tornado stayed to the south of town. Also, that town experienced an EF5 tornado in 2011 and a very destructing EF3 just a couple of years ago. They are no strangers to tornadoes so it does seem fitting in a way. Tornadoes of the caliber of EF5 can loft debris for crazy distances. Even things as big as a train car.
