Can’t hit the button fast enough when I get the notification of a new Hollywood Graveyard episode. Thank you, Arthur, from all of us taphophiles out there.
Growing up as a kid in the mid 50’s remember very well listening to all three of these young men on the radio. I was a toddler then. Didn’t know they all had passed away until I was a teenager. ❤❤❤
You want to realize just how many people are thrilled to take a walk through these graveyards. I'm happy to be one of these people. Thank You Arthur and the graveyard family.
Arthur dark would you go to congressional cemetery in washington dc please where John philip sousa is buried please and happy fathers day to you arthur dark ♥️
I believe as you walk through the final resting places, repeating their names some of which may not have been repeated for many years somehow shines a light on their brief history in the living world.
I'm from Oklahoma but I really enjoyed hearing about all the famous people who are buried in Texas and I have been to a few of these cemeteries over the years not having known of these people being buried there Thank You.🇺🇲🤠👍☕🎥📽🇺🇲

Arthur Dark: most informative of all cemetery videographers with the best diction and narration. Always respectful, delightfully humorous, decidedly intelligent and my choice for best videos. Thank you for your efforts to make top grade videos.
AS USUAL, A SUPERB JOB ARTHUR. DIDN'T REALIZE YOU HAD DONE A TEXAS TRIBUTE AFTER WE COMMUNICATED LATE LAST YEAR. THANK YOU FOR AN EXCELLENT REPRESENTATION OF OUR NATIVE TEXAS LEGENDS.
Yep, seeing the grave of Jim Reeves (the man with the velvet voice) brings back great memories. I grew up with his music and is still a big fan of his songs, which I still listen to on a regular basis. On a personal note the plane accident that killed Jim Reeves and his passenger was ruled by the NTSB as pilot error. According to NTSB records Jim Reeves was a licensed pilot to fly small single engine aircrafts. According to the NTSB Jim Reeves did not have sufficient training to fly this particular aircraft, because it was much bigger than the one he has trained for. The investigation also revealed that when Jim Reeves entered the storm clouds, he asked the local control tower for directions and due to static or miscommunication, he turn the plane in the wrong direction and flew the plane into rapid rising terrain and crashed. My late mother was heart broken when she heard over the radio that Gentleman Jim Reeves has passed away.
🪦Larry Hagman has GOT TO BE ONE OF MY FAVES!!!! I never knew he was Cremated and his Ashes spread on the Ranch where they filmed Dallas!!!! And like soooooo MANY, I LOVE Dan Blocker!!!! His story, which I already knew, was still very interesting. You ALWAYS put your own SPIN on things Arthur. That, and your voice, is what keeps people coming back, I'm sure!!!! Thank-You for this trip down "Memory Lane."
As someone who is a native Texan it’s great for everyone to learn about the history we have. Especially in San Antonio where the Alamo is one of the many symbols of Texas
I was only 3 months and 13 days old when Dan Blocker passed away but I’ve come to love the old guy through biographies and Bonanza re runs. Love that guy. So sad we lost such an amazing human being.
Thank you so much for your videos Arthur!! I can't tell you how much I look forward to them....my husband and I always make a date night out of the newest one, complete with dinner and dessert. Living in Los Angeles, we have access to so many famous graves of Hollywood, but the ones I especially enjoy are the ones made by all of your viewers. They take us to places we'll never go. Thanks again for all your hard work and excellent commentary!
I really appreciate these specials and never miss one. Tonight I remember Freddie King especially. I met him in 1976 on a winter night he was playing at a Blues Club in Montreal, I was the Label Manager for the record company that was releasing his current albumn and he invited me back his dessing room for a chat between shows. What a nice man! He regailed me with so many stories of his travels through Europe during the years and how friendly and open he found the people in those countires. He had me hanging on every word. What a wonderful, gentle, freindly man. Incidently, I have never in my life heard any Blues Gitarist sound as sweet and perfect as he played that night. A great, great musician. I can't believe he was dead only 10 month after that delightful evening. It broke my heart. R.I.P. Freddie, thank you for your gift you shared so openly!
Thank you Arthur for another amazing tour. Much appreciation for your dedication and history you give for each grave. You are awesome good sir. Stay safe and blessed.
As a native Texan, thanks for giving us our own video. It takes a video this big to cover a state this big. Thanks to all you viewers who sent in their work.
I couldn't hold back some tears when Peter Mayhew's resting place was shown. It would have been wonderful if he had lived to see Chewie receive Han's medal at the end of TROS.
I met Mac Davis back in the early 70's in Rhode Island, he was adorable and very generous with his time. RIP Mac Davis. Thank you for the tour of the cemeteries and those you are visiting.

So many interesting graves visited in this one, but I have loved Dallas the show since I was a little kid so I was partial to the Larry Hagman portion. Well done, as always!
Thank you everyone who contributed to this special, with a shout out to the person who got the Lubbock footage:thank you Arthur for putting it first. Buddy Holly is so often left out from these tours. Also thanks to the person who filmed Dan Blocker's grave. He was my favorite character on Bonanza. Rest in peace all. As always, looking forward to the next one!

@katarzynamariamuszynska2811 No worries, it's okay. Almost everybody is obsessed in one way or another with death. I love Dallas when I was a kid and still to this day. I’ve seen every episode of all 14 seasons multiple times. I remember as a kid my mom let me stay up late and watch it. I can’t think of a better place for Larry Hagman to be besides Southfork. He died playing the role he loved the most
Detroit won three NFL championships with Bobby Layne in the 1950s (I believe two of them were over the Cleveland Browns), but they have never made it to the Super Bowl, which didn't come around until 1967 after Layne had already retired.
He went to the same high school as la Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford was smart to leave Detroit because he won a Superbowl after one year with la.
Favorite memory? Meeting James Cotton several times when he played here in my town. He ways always a very friendly fellow and he ALWAYS put on a great show! Also, Freddie King, thank you very much for everything you did for humanity!
As a child, the entire South African people listened to Jim Reeves, for some reason he was BIG in this country. A thew radio stations still plays his songs today, and wow he even sang a song in my native tongue. Thank you Arthur for the history, and keep it up ,,Johann and Erica from Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦
I met Mac Davis at the songwriters hall of fame event. He was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I was heartbroken when he passed. It was the same event that Townes was inducted into the hall of fame. They were truly two of the most influential songwriters of all time
I can finally say that I have been to someone's grave that's been featured on Hollywood Graveyards! My daughter and I have been to see the Dan Blocker grave because it was close to my hometown and he was one of my dad's favorites on Bonanza! Thanks guys for the great memories for the stars shown on here tonight and for showing the great state of Texas. It is a big state with some wonderful people buried there. All shown are amazing and talented people.
The Von Erich family's story is absolutely tragic. There was actually another brother that died in childhood, Jack Adkisson jr, who was electrocuted and drowned in a puddle in 1959, when he was only 7 years old. Jack is interred in the same cemetery as his brothers and parents, but for some reason he's buried with his uncle who died a year prior to Jack at the young age of 14. Their graves are marked uncle and nephew and they share a headstone. Out of the six Addkison/Von Erich brothers, only one, Kevin Von Erich is still alive and the only one to live beyond his 30s. Their mother Doris died in 2015, so like her husband, she also outlived all but one of her sons.
Hollywood Graveyard was the first channel I watched on this topic. I’ve watched some others and they “can’t hold a candle” to the production value of Hollywood Graveyard. I appreciate you letting your viewers participate in contributing videos. There’s no way, especially with recent gas prices, one person could collect and share all the beautiful tributes shown in this latest episode by themself. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to honoring their memories and educating the fortunate people that have the pleasure of watching Hollywood Graveyard.
My favorite Don Meredith moment is, of course, the famous Oilers game where the Oilers were getting crushed on Minday Night Football. The camera panned the grandstands and a none-too-happy fan made what could be politely called a rude gesture with his middle finger. Frank Gifford and Howard Cosell were speechless, but Din saved the day by piping up, "Well Hawrd, he thinks we're number one."
I had no idea of how many huge Superstars and legend's were buried in Texas. As a huge country music fan of the 50's - 90's it was a treat to see Charley Pride Freddy Fender Jim Reeves Ray Price And all the actor's and actresses buried in Texas. To be honest I didn't know that Powers Booth passed away so that was a shock. I say that this is one of the best videos and I need to say thank you to all who contributed. Wonder if Bonnie and Clyde ever thought that after nearly 90 years after they were gunned down that they would still be spoken of. May they all Rest In Piece and thank you for all you given us.
Thank you to all the contributors for this Texas sized Hollywood Graveyard tour. I enjoyed watching but I must say that the history behind these celebrities started to get to me.
34:38 I have fond memories of Oliver and his song "Good Morning Starshine." My mother used to sing it to me iin the morning to wake me up for school. Oliver was before my time, but his song was a wonderful way to wake up. 🌞 Good morning, starshine! The earth says 'hello.'
Arthur, these are SO well done. I'm not sure if someone has picked you up as a narrator for a commercial, or whatever, but if they haven't they should. Your narrations are extremely well done, along with your video content and editing. So impressive! Great job as usual. I have to admit I feel a little crazy saying this, but I binge watch these because they are relaxing and very interesting.
Your narrative to the video being shown is simply brilliant in its eloquence, insight and sensitivity. Truly appreciate all your fans sending in their submissions and your ability to describe the moment..
It’s like Christmas Day when I see you post a new video, Arthur! I’ve been addicted to your videos since COVID lockdown, and have even started watching some over again while I wait for a new one. Thank you for all you do! So tasteful, professional, and interesting.
Got a little teary eyed when you got to Dime and Vinny. I was lucky I got to see Pantera live way back when. Dime's death was so shocking and it devastated Vinnie who witnessed his brother's murder. May they rest in peace. Edit: spelling
While visiting Texas a year ago, my family & I went to Moore Memorial and visited Dimebag & Vinnie. Was a sad feeling, but in someway, it felt cool to pay our respects. May these brothers RIP 🌹
It’s been raining for the past few minutes where I am, but I don’t mind much. Besides, I always love to watch your videos, makes things nice and cozy, even if it sounds odd, but I’m sure y’all know what I mean
Lol..finally got a notification on my day off. Have my coffee and a comfy chair. Time to watch. Thanks Mr Dark 👍 Just finished watching, once again Mr Dark, beautiful work. Can't wait for the next one. Have a great evening
Dave Williams and I worked together at a music store in a mall in Plano. I remember going to see his band Fugly! Rest easy my friend. We also used to buy Wild Turkey shots with Dime and Vinny!
One small correction: The Original "Heloise" is the one whose grave is featured in the video. Her daughter's photo, however, is posted beside it in the video. Ponce Kiah Marchelle Heloise Cruse was born in 1951, and carries on her mother's tradition of "hints" to this day, and is very much alive.
BRILLIANT! Thoroughly enjoy all your videos, Arthur, and this one was up to your usual excellence. I met Peter Mayhew once when he was signing autographs at a card and memorabilia store. My son was a huge Star Wars fan, so we made the trip to see him and get his autograph. I was struck by his quiet, gentle nature, and the fact that he couldn't have made a dime appearing at this little store, but yet, there he was, happy to meet and talk with anyone who wanted to see him. And I have a somewhat obscure connection to James A. Michener, in that he was originally from Bucks County, PA, where I live. In fact, I live on Michener Court! The county seat, Doylestown, is where my now-grown son lives, and Michener's name is all over the place. So many other names in this episode struck a chord in my heart, from Mary Martin and Larry Hagman (big Major Nelson fan!), Ben Hogan (wish I had his swing!), Dorey Miller, James "Dobbs" Hampton, Mac Davis (Lord, It's Hard to be Humble! and Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me), to Freddy Fender, Charley Pride, Freddy King, 'Gentleman Jim' Reeves and of course, Buddy Holley. I could go on and on, but I'll just say that if I couldn't live here, I'd want to live in Texas.
Long weekend and a brand new Hollywood Graveyard=pure bliss. Thank you Hollywood Graveyard Arthur and all those who put together another fabulous video.
I always thought that 'My Maria' was an original Brooks & Dunn song from 1996 (that song is still one of my all-time favorite country songs to this day along with Vince Gill's 'I Still Believe In You' from 1992), but I had absolutely no idea that it had originally been performed by B.W. Stevenson 23 years earlier until I found the Stevenson version online a few years ago.
Great job. I had absolutely NO idea that Texas had THAT many well known names. But there is one that was missed - and I'm presuming that is because nobody thought or knew to go to Beaumont, Texas. There you would find the grave of the great Mildred "Babe" Deidrikson Zaharias, the great Woman Athlete of the first half of the 20th Century if to all time (hey, a lot of her golf records still hold). And I don't think she was just a famous woman athlete, I think - like many others who know her story - she was one of the greatest athletes period. There didn't seem to be one thing she couldn't do. And she even played harmonica and sang to boot. Hopefully sometime soon someone can include her here on this great channel (if she HAS already been acknowledged, honest, I never knew it - really).

I enjoyed this tour, brought back old memories. Thank you
Detroit won three NFL championships with Bobby Layne in the 1950s (I believe two of them were over the Cleveland Browns), but they have never made it to the Super Bowl, which didn't come around until 1967 after Layne had already retired.
Ok .
He went to the same high school as la Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford was smart to leave Detroit because he won a Superbowl after one year with la.
Again......super!
RIP Dimebag and Vinnie. Pantera changed my life. Great tribute as always.
Peter Mayhew and his wife Angie were also known for their charity work. Rest in peace, Peter. You are forever missed.
Your life is complete.
@@NoTaboos almost :)
Sad, sad memories of the Von Erich clan.
Honestly , the Amount of work put into this Presentation is A WORK OF ART IN ITSELF , Thanks 🙏
RIP to all these amazing legends. Loved Larry Hagman ( Major Tony Nelson and J.R. Ewing) Adored Mac Davis😍
I have no idea who 85% are…but very interesting to listen and learn about them. Thank you😊
It's still hard for me to accept that both the Abbott brothers are already gone. Keep on rocking in heaven! 🤘
Thank you for mentioning James Bowie. I learned something new with your research. He was my great grandmother’s great uncle.
Surprised you didn’t mention the way he pronounced it. Lol
Thank you for remembering so many people who were a part of our hearts, memories & history!
He did a lot of Lipton Ice Tea commercials too
I'll always remember Don for - 'Turn out the lights, the parties over'.
Excellent documentary very well done,
Thanks so much for including Freddy! We are so proud of him and all he accomplished 💜
The way you articulate is absolutely brilliant.
I had no idea of how many huge Superstars and legend's were buried in Texas. As a huge country music fan of the 50's - 90's it was a treat to see
Charley Pride
Freddy Fender
Jim Reeves
Ray Price
And all the actor's and actresses buried in Texas.
Seeing Peter Mayhew’s grave was a bit bittersweet. His birthday was only a few days ago.
Got to meet him, twice.
Dallas, I Dream of Jeannie, Brady Bunch, and Star Wars Chewbacca all in one place.
Lovely to see Dime and Vinnie being acknowledged 🤘🖤
I've been waiting for them to pop up in the viewer submission vids. They are truly legends!
@@shagdog6669the guy that shot Dime was also shot and killed so I hope he is in the most eternal darkness EVER and paying for what he did.
I absolutely love this channel!! Please do a US president special! It would be amazing!
Same❤❤❤❤
Got a little teary eyed when you got to Dime and Vinny.
Same here in London
Same here in Perth, quite bad weather but perfect for rugging up and watching these
Same here in Virginia...but this video can ease my aggrevation..I love them
Very interesting about texas born celebrities, i'm listening & watching now from the beautiful & vibrant country of South Africa ❤❤❤❤
Lol..finally got a notification on my day off. Have my coffee and a comfy chair. Time to watch.
Thanks Mr Dark 👍
Just finished watching, once again Mr Dark, beautiful work. Can't wait for the next one.
Have a great evening
These videos are a welcome distraction in a crazy world. Thank you Arthur Dark.
Dave Williams and I worked together at a music store in a mall in Plano. I remember going to see his band Fugly! Rest easy my friend. We also used to buy Wild Turkey shots with Dime and Vinny!
I enjoyed this. My dad used to stop at these places when we had a road trip. I loved Old Yeller but I can’t watch it without crying.

And you'd be very welcome.
@@barbaragammon5850 Thank you kindly!
Long weekend and a brand new Hollywood Graveyard=pure bliss. Thank you Hollywood Graveyard Arthur and all those who put together another fabulous video.
I am stuck home sick and i immediately wanted to binge your series it is so comforting…thank you for all your hard work Mr Dark. ❤
I love this program and I always look forward to new episodes. Thank you Mr Dark !!❤️
Love the opening with the contributors being shown in the same fashion as cool Arthur
Sounds so much alike, doesn’t it? I loved the original. They did one of my favorite remakes.
