- This video is intended to compare the similarity between Lion King (1994) "This Land" and Shaolin Soccer (2001) "Victory."

I watched Shaolin Soccer first, so when I watched Lion King and I heard this, I was like...that’s fucking Shaolin Soccer 😂
I got goosebumps and my eyes teared up at this scene in Shaloin Soccer and I didn't understand until I realized what the Lion King was going on.

This used to be common practice in Hong Kong cinema, unfortunately. I suppose the tight schedules and tiny budgets they work with, forces them to have to make artistic compromises like this every now and then. Nevertheless, Shaolin Soccer is still the better film.

When I was i kid , Mufasa comes to my mind when I watching Shaolin Soccer .
Stealing is pretty harsh word, they just copy the chords and replace/add some yeah they both very similar but not the exact same.

The Lion King which stole most of its story, had its music stolen and reworked too. Ironic.
I guess the tune for the victory, fitting considering the fact that Simba and Sing won for their Pride and Team respectively, can pass off as a Chinese instrumental tune.

Ted 2 saw usage of the Jurassic Park theme.
Ironically, the Lion and T-Rex would meet in one of the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s ending scenes.
And we have Dr. Henry Wu in Jurassic Park, who is portrayed by B.D. Wong, an Asian who is of Hong Kongese descent.
Stephen Chow is from Hong Kong himself.
Got to love these connections, unintentional or not.
Ted 2 is a movie from Universal, Jurassic Park is from Universal, it's a Universal movie making a reference to another Universal movie, that was the point of the scene. This is not the same, not even close.

@@chokata1 You don't even know the story of Kimba, name wich episode the lion king stole it's story from, you can't because it didn't, if anything Kimba copied the lion king in it's 1997 film.
