    I love this game! Doesn't get enough coverage in my opinion. Runs sweet on the pc, but the switch version can be fairly slow when chaining lots of cards in a big battle.

    For anyone interested, this game is included in Prime Gaming this month.

    Honestly I'm kind of biased towards card games, they take a while to learn etc. and I have vary low motivation to learn all the rules (and the art as well is often meh, as in it's fine quality-wise but reminds me of mobile games or old adds on flash games sites) but recently I've been looking at some card games since there are seemingly thousands on steam so there might be something there to get me into card games. I'll give this a try since it's free weekend on steam.

    What exactly makes this one better than the others?

      It's on par with STS, or at least in the same ballpark. The gem > card upgrades + beautiful art + team mechanics help set it apart, though it might not have the same level of replayability.
      Definitely worth the $7 sale IMO.

      @@wanderbots I'd argue that although the Faeria-esque art does set it apart, Indie's lies is the better game on all the other fronts

      @@wanderbots I think it’s cause the busted stuff was just, waaaayyyyyy too easy to get to. After that you wanted maybe one or two more cards for the last two thirds of each run.

      @@benjaminrosiek5007 Indies Lies s far better. The free deckbuilding, the massive amount of possible combinations in team building and personally I prefer the art (no weird furry/fetish stuff).

    Its interesting because the fights all have a gimmick vs random enemies w/random stats. They almost all require a 'customized' strategy to beat, or at least not spends more resources than you should. The DLC is a complete rip-off, but the base game is pretty decent.

    Well, I'm not really interested in these... but I guess I'll give it a shot.

    not really a new game, and cant say i'd recommend roguebook, it never gets any kind of updates. the cards have poor synergy. the decks bloat with almost no way to remove cards. it's an ok game, but there are certainly better deck builders deserving your time.

    • @MrPuch82
      @MrPuch82 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "the deck bloats with almost no way to remove cards"... and there goes my interest. Never understood how developers manage to mess up such a simple formula like StS. Don't force cards on me and give me enough ways to thin my deck. Not complicated.

    • @BNik92
      @BNik92 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Are we talking about the same StS? The starting deck there is garbage and the best thing you can do is pay to remove most if not all of it.

    • @henriklarssen1331
      @henriklarssen1331 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I dont know i love it and its my most played beside StS.
      Sure the 30 card decks can be shit, but you get nice bonis if you take up to 30 cards, or you just ignore the boni and run a smaller deck, no one is forcing you to take them.
      You also get a chance to delete cards or upgrade starter cards.
      And you still have the gems which can improve cards too.
      But i like the way you can explore the map, realy well made.
      I would say Banner of Ruin ws way more disapointing or problematic for me and far less fun, but still decent.

      thin decking is the worst part of most deckbuilders, turns customization, variety, and trial and error into "I need to do xyz and win instantly"

      I actually really like how Roguebook does it. Though I agree deck bloat can be a problem Roguebook handles the problem well by never forcing the cards onto you and actually gives you benefits if you decide to thick deck. I also think the system is very clever, because it makes infinites harder (which I find quite boring past the journey to obtain the infinite) while also not outright banning them.
