I also LOVE this one! It is so much how I also experience “communication” from God and there’s just SO much to sit with and ponder in it.

I was given an old fashioned book called St. Vincent de Paul’s prayer manual. I’ve loved every part of this book. It’s more of Cathechism and organization of the Catholic teachings. It was published in the 1860’s.
My standby is the interior Castle by St. Teresa of Avila or Faustinas diary But I agree Jacques Phillip is a fantastic writer
Favorite that I would recommend to anyone is He Leadeth Me by Fr. Walter Ciszek. Honorable mention because it’s a little harder to get through (but so powerful on the Lord’s Prayer especially!) is The Way of Perfection by St. Teresa of Jesus (aka St. Teresa of Avila).

My favorite has long been I Believe in Love by French priest Fr Jean d'Elbee. It's a retreat with the teachings of St. Thérèse . Then lately I discovered The Way of Trust and Love by Fr. Jacques Phillippe. It's another retreat with St Thèrése by a French priest and I love that one too!!!

As a Protestant I read a lot of Joyce Meyer. Does Pilgrims Progress count as religious reading? Cause I really like that and need to read it again because I feel the Lord is being scenes of that story to my mind and I’ve not read it in years! Since BIS came into my life, I started reading Divine Intimacy (PDF) as night and it is incredible.

Another good book is Delay and Pray by Beth Bubik about catholic fasting from sugar flor and alcohol until Sundays I just started it
