I just payed $313 for him it included the second head which is extremely hard to find nowadays since this figure was released almost 3 years ago. I just recently started collecting figures and I completely fell in love with this one, It just had to be mine.

Yet another awesomely made male figure! It's so good to see males getting decent action poses and thought like their female counterparts.. Looks great, but there is just one thing I couldn't help but keep looking at... And that's that bloody hand. Now I've not seen the anime but I see from the pictures you had at the start he makes a reverse 3 by holding his index finger in... But to me it looks like if that finger was uncurved it would be too long. I might be wrong but it's something I kept looking at and felt out of place for a hand pose with the body.

You said veins instead of arteries. Veins are blue because they carry deoxygenated blood and arteries are red because they carry oxygenated blood.

I got this figure in forbidden planet in Dublin for €159.99. I feel a bit ripped off because I found one online for €119.99 but still a cool figure.
Edit1: I just noticed a difference. The colour of the box I have is all black apart from a mix of white and black on the top. Any ideas as to why that is? Is it because I got a newer one or what?
Edit2: 4:03 Just noticed another difference my figure has his mask and I only got one head.
Edit3: Just did some research and found out the reason why it’s different is because I have the 2018 version.
Hi, yes you must have got the quite surprising re-release, which also has a few color changes. Kotobukiya really did shock us on that one as until then this figure was very hard to find for a decent price.
The price on Amazon in 300 on ebay is 33
I got mine on Amazon for $104 regular price $110. The one on eBay is probably a fake. I suggest if you want a good figure you should get it on Amazon.

Hi! I'm afraid they're right this figure is massively expensive now and highly desirable so I'm afraid you won't pick it up for $30.00. Sadly there're a load of bootlegs for him all over E-Bay/Amazon and Alliexpress. He did receive a re-paint re-release but that was just as popular as the original and again the prices have gone up a lot in the aftermarket. Don't trust this site, A it looks like a kindergartner put it together, they don't state the company who has produced the figure, there's no way they'd drop that amount of money of such a highly demanded figure, honestly if it was me I'd avoid this site completely. If you're that desperate to get this figure, save up and buy him from a legit site like Mandarake, Solaris Japan or AmiAmi if he pops up. Seriously this site has sketchy written all over it.

How do i get the head without the mask
Hi, sorry for the late reply. The Kaneki I have (which you already may now know) is the Kotobukiya exclusive which came with the extra head. You can still get this head on Japanese auction sites but it's now becoming a rarity and can cost just as much as a new ARTFX J figure.

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. NO, DO NOT buy any figures from Aliexpress, it is a known site for selling fake merchandise. This Kaneki is now extremely rare and you will not get him for anything less than £200.00 as his price has skyrocketed in the aftermarket. If you still would like to get him try sites like AmiAmi, Mandarake and Solaris Japan. These are official sites that sell legit merchandise. He did receive a re-paint re-release a few years ago this is also hard to find but if you use these sites and persevere you may end up finding him for a decent deal. Avoid E-Bay and Amazon as both of these are also full of bootlegs. I hope this helps. :)

No, Amazon is full of bootleg figures and this figure is now extremely rare so you will not get him for anything less than 20,000 JPY+ Even his re-release re-paint version has gone up in the aftermarket. If you see him for a cheap price don't buy as it's liable to be a fake.

Hi! Kotobukiya released two versions of Kaneki there was the standard and then the one you see here which is the DX version which has an alternative non mask head. :)
oh ok, because i bought this statue like one week ago, but the kagune is translucent on mine and i don't have the alternative head but whatever, such a breathtaking figure ^^ Great vid man, keep it up !

Hi! I'm afraid that the odds of it being legit are slim to none, as this figure and the re-paint re-release are highly desirable and you will not find it for prices lower than £200. You may be lucky and find it for over a £100 but you certainly won't get it for anything below that as there're many known bootlegs of both versions. Hope this helps. :)

Price ?
I picked this up in Switzerland when I was on holiday so i couldn't tell you the price now, all I know at the time as it was the KOTO EX with the extra head it was a bargain after I had done all the calculations on how much it would have cost me if I had imported him from Japan inc shipping and of course the customs charges.

Sadly Kaneki is hard to get now especially the Koto exclusive version, hunt around sites like AmiAmi pre-owned and Mandarake you may be lucky that way. :)
