@@brendamoon2660 excellent question! I actually don’t know the answer to that, though I’d love to find out. If I had to guess it’s the second option, though I can only speak for myself and I’m pretty sure that’s what applies to me. I love Phil Collins, for example, because his drumming style is distinctive and it’s comforting to me. Same thing applies to Rick Allen, Def Leppard’s drummer.

I wish. I keep telling all my neighbors when they knock on my door to KNOCK like they are federal agents busting in or something. I wear headphones most of the day working on music and never hear their little light taps. One neighbor came by tonight and knocked and I thought it must have been a three year old it was so lite.

I appreciate the use of different varying door scenes with each new beat.
I found this recently and never slept better.
I've always had trouble going to sleep. I need to hear something but cannot be attentive towards it (or I'll be too interested to sleep). I've tried meditation, I've tried melodic songs, etc. Nothing helped.
But this rhythmic tapping was the best thing I've found. This is now bookmarked.

@@typicalfurry2747Oh god no. I did try, but there are a lot of noises in ASMR that ticks me in the wrong way (most specifically the "wet" clicking sounds in the mouth before and after words).
I did try nonvocal ASMRs but I never found one that was consistent - they kept changing the sound so often that only a small portion of it worked.
And then the weird part is that this video is more just rhythmic tapping without all of those audio adjustments. Maybe it's that realism that I'm not listening to a microphone with extreme sensitivity. Maybe it's the consistency that I'm always hearing the "same" sound.
And yes, this video is short, but I put it on loop. =P
