i wish i could actually get myself to finish one of these games. I always fall in love with their story and characters, but eventually just get so bored with the gameplay that i have to drop it. it's not even like i hate beat' em ups/brawlers. one of my favorite games of all time is one.
I've only played zero so this game is not at the top of my list but the video reminded me of what makes Yakuza so special so I think I will check out Yakuza Kiwami or judgement next
So what exactly *is* up with the name change to Like A Dragon? Aside from the obvious explanation that using the term Yakuza for the franchise name may not have been such a good idea from this point on, I just get the feeling there's more to it than meets the eye (or at least mine)
I really think it's just that and a marketing thing since the series was kinda soft rebooted with Y7. It's also already called like a dragon in Japan, so it could just be for naming cohesion across the countries lol
Like A Dragon is a better name for the series, considering that while the stories always take place around the Yakuza, the main focus of the series is a man who is, well, like a dragon. Also the fact that yakuza aren't and can't possibly be in every game, considering the 2 samurai spin-offs.
@@SciontheDark absolutely understood, I suppose my main concern was that the title Yakuza just sounds more simple, compact, short but sweet, especially recognizable, although then again, this is literally the first - and as of now only - entry with the new name so
@@Sammmmmmmm617 pretty sure youtube autoblocks link in the comments to prevent scam links, just watch the ending of the original on youtube. So just type in "ryu ga gotoku ishin ending", its the last scene
I really loved the part where Ryoma is about to fight and he says "I'm Like a Dragon Ishin! for a fight!!!"
Once you've leveled up 'GUN' you can just one tap fools left and right.

33:15 lol the white hair isnt an error. just an unexplained plot point
I just started playing it and I’m super hyped. I love you like a son. Great job on the video❤️
Thank you Cole Phelps
Like a dragon ishin is like if shin megami tensei was actually called true reincarnation of the godess
I know they could've made it better since it's a "remake", but the og was the first to have style switching, cuz it came after 5

I think the ending is disappointing/kinda sucks with the villain. What do you think?
Part of the ending was cut from the remaster, The last scene to be specific
