The action indexing is something you cant quite down, regardless of what you put on the barrel. It does sound louder to the shooter than someone a few feet away.
Great review. There are limitations as regards what suppressors can do. As you point out, "quality" of sound matters, and a smack will prompt your neighbors to call the police before will a thud.
I wish that I had seen this video before I brought my Hornet. I came to the same conclusion. It is a barely discernable difference. I agree with other commentators that the reason is due to the air index noise. I am still confused by other people claiming that it makes a significant difference. One person said it was "night and day" compared with the stock moderator. I wonder if these people are running their L2 at much higher energy levels than sub 12fpe?
I have looked at their Website and it looks to be only available in .25 and .30 caliber. I have a .22? I guess the .25 is the one that fits it? Also it is 50mm diameter and I was wondering if that effects the folding of the gun?
@@paperballandpentube On their website it mentions removing the packing from the first chamber, that might give a 1st expansion chamber to help reduce the db. Thanks for getting back to me
Thank you for the open and honest answer, @@paperballandpentube. I've been agonizing over this for a while now. From everything I've seen, it's a great air gun, but it costs more than most "premium" fire-arms, and I'm an American Citizen, with a constitutionally enumerated right to "Keep And Bear Arms", so I'm having a hard time justifying the expense.
@@VerumAdPotentia if i lived out on a ranch, i would have to agree. I have to drive to places to shoot, so I have no regrets spending on air guns that have many advantages over powder burners, such as no recoil and heat, no loud sound and smell , that one can enjoy daily inside own backyard. They serve their purpose and are fine tools!
Wow, not a quick question, you'll find loads of TH-cam videos on the subject, if I had to get off the fence I'd say .177 is better for targets (although I've not used myself) and .22 is better for pest control, that said either will do both jobs. I went for .22 as the EL2 is not really a target gun (although it is good and accurate) and my other guns were .22 so I had pellets and didn't have to buy a load of new ones in a different calibre. Thanks for watching.
I just saw this video th-cam.com/video/zkJmwiH7JXc/w-d-xo.html from someone in the US with a max powered L2 and his tests were interesting but not conclusive. There seemed to be more of a difference between standard and Hornet but not dramatic. The Mod30 was definitely noisier than both.
Struggled to follow his readings as his app was even worse than mine. No major reductions from just listening with my headphones as far as I can tell. I totally need his shooting van though. 😎

Great video - just the exact subject I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to make it.
Where was the sound test 😔
Thanks for the review. Can the gun be folded flush with that huge diameter moderator?
You'll need the longer locking pin fitted, then it'll be able to latch. Standard pin is too short.

Yeah, you could be right, either way it was no surprise I didn't get a Christmas Card from Huma Air after this video. 😁
do you have the moderator for Leshiy 2 300mm barrel?

Yeah mine is .22 so the .25 is the one you need. You will need the longer locking pin for the gun to latch folded. Cheers.

So, long story short...
...was it worth the cash?
My personal opinion is that it's a great option but too expensive, if you can get it cheaper it's a good thing to have. Cheers.

Quick question what caliber is good for target practice and for pest control sub 12ft/lbs for the edgun leshiy 2

@@paperballandpentube thanks for the the reply do you know what is the max range for leshiy 2 in 22
I wouldn't go over 50 yards, 30 is about ideal.
suitable for 350mm barrel
compare the length
Honestly review thank you
Enyone know how to get the edgun leshiy 2 in the UK
They lost their UK distributor but are just in the process of setting up a new one. Should be able to get them soon.
@@paperballandpentube how soon do you think
That I do not know I'm afraid, if you go to edgun.shop.co.uk you can register for early access and updates. Cheers.
