Brenda, ¡It´s delicious to hear you talk and sing! your voice is so tender, warm, clear and sweet one. You must record all the songs that you teaching on piano, with your magic voice obviously. I do not forget to mention the clarity of your pronunciation; as same as Frank Sinatra's songs. ¡congratulations! Luis.
A great tutorial, one thing that I have noticed about EJ, is that he has such a great understanding of inversions, that he can change from one chord to another so easily, without moving his hands up and down the keyboard. I would also recommend that bass players listen to Dee Murray's bass, it gets a little lost in the mix, but it's exquisite.
Nicely Done Brenda! Very Nicely Done! You taught alot more than just Rocket Man here. From a guy born in '55 I grew up with Elton at the time and what a time it was thru the 50's, 60's 70's producing Artists like Elton, The Stones, Aerosmith, Heart & many more still playing today. Who Woulda Thunk!!!!!!!! Taking me way back to the Bowie-Elton Space Song Battle and the glorious 70's! Nicely Done Brenda! Very Nicely Done! Loved It!!!!
I just came across your video. I’ve been searching for a more “intermediate” tutorial for this song because every tutorial I could find was basic transposed major chords. I’ve been trying to find something to challenge myself with, and I just came across this video. I am SO EXCITED to start learning this one, thank you thank you thank you for this amazing arrangement and tutorial!!
Brenda, thank you! I'm actually learning it with you! Been watching many videos but yours is the only one that makes sense and it's simple to understand and play! Thank you!
Funny, I never really cared for this song.....that is until I heard your rendition of it! Love it Brenda. Will be practicing it along with your suggestions of "bashing and arpeggiating" the chords. You are the BEST! Thanks, Mark
Thank you for such an enthusiastic tutorial, I love how you laugh while showing us techniques! I play piano strictly for fun, and it's so nice to see how much fun you are having while teaching the song. I will have fun learning this one, and I'll be sure to laugh when I make mistakes!!

C7 and C9 are basically the same chord. C9 is just a C7 chord with a D in it.
