@Joshua Tegg yes, I'm planning to start recording soon an entire course about nouns declension. I'm almost done with preparing the content for the course.

Doh! Over 1 year in on the language, and it only just clicked NOW, watching your vid. THANK YOU SIR!!! Most teachers (1) fail to point out if they're covering a whole topic universally or just throwing out some random disconnected facts. The fact that you made me know I'll master present tense concept with this one vid, made me pay attention rather than day dream (2) Most teachers neglect the visual aspect... just the little bit of using the right visual for my brain to 'snapshot' by using those arrow stand in symbols for the verb stems made all the difference to me. Most Polish grammar tables I've seen look like pure fricking chaos (contrast this to tables Japanese use to present their grammar for example).... Thank you again!!

I've been trying to learn a little Polish, as I find the language and the culture intriguing and appealing. Your lessons are one of the best tools I have found, so, dziękuję. I have a question for you: For the "-i-" verbs, (widzę, widzisz), how common is the 1s, 3p "-ie, ią -" variant? Some other descriptions I have read don't mention it at all. I do see from other sources that the -y- variant in the other persons is predictable from the stem, which you wisely don't go into in this particular lesson. But what about the ones that have -ię, ią at the end? Are there a lot of them? Is there a way to predict which verbs will be in that group besides just learning them?
Fantastic! I recognize that having once studied a bit of Russian, even though too long ago, the endings sounded logical to me, despite the challenging spellings, and also the irregular to be has the third person plural almost like our Portuguese language 'são', true Indo-European convergence! Thank you so much for your channel and your site, they are indeed precious! Greetings from Brazil, and jeszcze raz dziękuję bardzo:-)!

Oh, and a simpler (more common) verb: stać (to stand). Ja stoję, ty stoisz, on stoi, my stoimy, wy stoicie, oni stoją. And spać (to sleep) Ja śpię, ty śpisz, on śpi, my śpimy, wy śpicie, oni śpią I dont know how that fits into the four groups cause I have to say I think I only learned about the concept of the 4 groups when watching polish lessons our of curiosity as a Pole, not in school, cause it kind of comes naturally.

It's hard for me to think of a list of exceptions as a native speaker, but here's one of the top of my head: siać (to sow (seeds)). It goes ja sieję, ty siejesz, on sieje, my siejemy, wy siejecie, oni sieją.
Pozdrawiam i powodzenia w nauce :)
Oh, and a simpler (more common) verb: stać (to stand).
Ja stoję, ty stoisz, on stoi, my stoimy, wy stoicie, oni stoją.
And spać (to sleep)
Ja śpię, ty śpisz, on śpi, my śpimy, wy śpicie, oni śpią
I dont know how that fits into the four groups cause I have to say I think I only learned about the concept of the 4 groups when watching polish lessons our of curiosity as a Pole, not in school, cause it kind of comes naturally.
The verb Być, to be. Irregular in English. Similar to spanish, must be from the Latin language. Also, your Enhlish is excellent!
I got confuse with the circles and triangles.
I speak OK polish. But I learned through work.
Now I'm really proud to see that I've actually got a few verbs correct by ear 😁
Will practice this and after wakacje I'll show those gopniks at the shipyard whats what 😆
Edit: Thank you for the video!
