Sometimes I think why am i so glued to my phone? Then I realized it's all because I want to avoid feeling lonely. Ik it might sound cringe but it's loneliness that I want to avoid by feeding my brain with imaginary connections through phone. That's the irony of this generation. We don't have that family bonds anymore.
alessia, totally relate to being overwhelmed with things i wanna do. this list really stopps from actually doing anything. also want to notice that your voice is sooooo relaxing, cozy and comfy. like a warm cardigan or blanket thank you for this video ❤

I'm going through a friend breakup that has brought up so much vulnerability, feelings of rejection and insecurity and I'm spiraling seeking validation from sources that aren't sustainable- men and feeling hot. I'm lucky to have the time and resources to take the day for a self date- I live in the Bay Area and I'm planning to go CD shopping in San Francisco and then drive down Highway 1 to Santa Cruz, take myself to dinner and then go see one of my favorite singers Angel Olsen. Feeling proud of myself for this decision and thank you for your wisdom, I relate so much to the things you say, the struggles you're naming and what helps you move through it.
@@sarahmcdonald6980 hey my lovely, I’m so sorry you’re going through a friendship breakup. They are so so painful and scary. But wow, it sounds like you’ve really showed up for yourself and given yourself some much needed ‘you time.’ You should be so so proud of yourself! ❤️🥰🥹 Thank you for sharing your story with me my love. Also, I’ve gone through friendship breakups and found that time really is a healer. Sending a big hug your way 💕
Get a dog. It's almost unbearable to go more than 6 waking hours without going outside unless you have a private fenced in yard. You'll never feel lonely if you build a deep bond with your dog. When your out and about, you will meet many people who wouldn't otherwise walk up to you being friendly and kind. You'll get exercise when you otherwise wouldn't even if you work out. Those impromptu late night walks without having to watch your back to closely are gold. Also, having a dog allows you to work on parenting skills.🐕🦺🐶
Thanks Alessia! This video came at such a great time. I’ve just finished uni and struggling to get a job is really getting me down, and I’ve basically been cooped up in the house. I really appreciate the way you articulate your thoughts so well in all your videos. It’s almost like you say the things I’m feeling/thinking, but don’t know how to put them into words. Hope your well xx
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad the video came at the right time for you. I can totally understand how tough it is after finishing uni. Everything is uncertain and scary. It's normal to feel down when you're in that in-between phase, but please remember you're not alone in this, and brighter days are ahead. Sending you the biggest hug 💛
All I feel is pain. All else is just an attempt to hide the pain. I desire so much connection but It’s impossible for me to get. Pray for me I don’t know how much longer I can go on for
For me, being on my phone is my only way to connect with the outside world. I’m an autistic trans person living with very conservative parents (I don’t have the resources to move). I don’t go to university for multiple reasons, and work is becoming increasingly difficult to find (after affirmative action was overturned in the US, the already low employment rate for disabled people has become even lower). It’s difficult for me to see my friends or to engage in socializing, because I don’t have a car as well. Social media is really the only way for me. Though I do wish I was less obsessed with it, so I could write more short stories, poetry, and play guitar.
Your comment really moved me, and I hope you're going to be able to move out soon! Keeping contact is what matters, no matter the medium ;) And if you're into writing and if your friends are on board with it, you could try writing letters to each others (+ you can include cute things in it like drawings or dried flowers) ? Best wishes from France xx
Thank you for sharing with such openness my love. Your comment has really made me think - and I really appreciate that. It sounds like you're navigating soooo much right now. 💛 Social media can be such a lifeline. Those are such powerful ways of expressing yourself. Thank you for sharing - be sure to comment whenever! I would be glad to hear from you again! Sending you so much warmth and support. 💛
