We're obviously aware of and deeply concerned about the global pandemic, and are choosing carefully what to publish as forms of escapism and entertainment to help ease thoughts of anxiety, and provide an alternative from the news. We are obviously NOT encouraging anyone to travel now or discouraging social distancing.
    What's your favorite underrated country?

@@AshishCR7 Oman is beautiful for adventure seekers or relaxed holidays on pristine beaches, we’re very low key and perfect for anyone looking to immerse in a different culture. Best months to come to Muscat are October to February where temperatures are lower and more tolerable and then July to September for Salalah. You can check out my Instagram @nabhan_abdullatif for pics of Oman.

Oman is a pleasant place to travel. I visited Oman for two weeks a few years ago, and I rented a car for a week in Oman. It is safe to travel and the roads are remarkable good and safe. Omani people are humble and respectful. Nice beaches, old historic castle ruins, beautiful mosques, mountains, and canyon. Travel in Oman is affordable. It is well-worth to travel in Oman. 🇴🇲 👍🤠👍

I went to Laos in July 2019 and spent one week visiting Vientiane, Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang. The only thing I regret is not spending more time in that gorgeous country. Vientiane is one of the most laid back capital cities I've been and definitely the most quiet in East and South East Asia. Vang Vieng is a natural paradise / natural playground, but it was the atmospheric Luang Prabang that stole my heart: every morning long lines of Buddhist monks walk silently among beautiful temples and colonial houses, while devout people give them rice as offerings. And then there are the nice restaurants, the cozy hotels, the night market and a spectacular view of the Mekong river from the top of a hill. Laos is way less touristy than its neighbors Thailand and Vietnam, meaning it's less crowded and feels more authentic.

I'm surprised Taiwan wasn't on this list. It's generally looked over in favor of either China or Japan, and often known in the US as "that place all my clothes come from", but it's actually a beautiful country with a culture that is somewhat a mix of Chinese, Japanese, and a sprinkling of other nearby nations, but also an identity completely their own. Not only that, but the country is surrounded in mountains, making for beautiful landscapes, and did I mention the food? Definitely a place that should be on more people's radars.

Avoid Pakistan at all costs! Huge anti-American, and anti-Russian sentiments and too dangerous to travel. I traveled in Pakistan for two months in the summer 1989, and it was one of the most dangerous journey in my life. I survived narrowly escaped death twice. I had interrogations twice, and they let me free. The weather was extremely hot. I pedaled my bicycle across the Pakistani border from Amritsar, India, visited Islamabad, then Kashmir (Skardu, Gilgit, and Hunza), Swat Valley (Mingora), Peshawar, Quetta, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and then Karachi. After I flew out from Karachi, I arrived in Amman, Jordan, and I felt safe and breathed easier in Jordan.

It's quite a new country, as though it does not belong to this planet, a bit like some planet earthlings have not discovered yet. There are beautiful beaches in summer, snow for skiing in winter, beautiful natural scenery, fascinating oases, the most beautiful desert in the world and the most breathtaking sunset there too, to say nothing of the many historic sites, like Berber or Roman ruins. Montenegro beautifull nature for sure buuuut..... Sewage going directly on the beach waters, believe me i know. They dont have sewage system, if you want to swim you risk your health and you will feel dirty, smell is very bad like a crap. I hope that someday this problem will be solved until than i m no more going there. Probably most beautifull country with the sewage in the water. Nobody wants that.
