Thank you so much although I’m sure that it was more an accident than intentional! We still have dreams about those waffles in Belgium, and we grabbed one on the train station on our way out of the country! Thanks for commenting
We had high hopes because we visited 8 years prior and loved it and it held up to the expectations! Great food, beer and people! Thanks a million for watching!
Unlike other locals commenting, I'm from Brussels too and I love my city as well as our food. I loved your video!! Interesting concept to try to live off of 100 euros per day; I get the coffee scene now. 😅Makisu sushi is very popular among young people, it's something every young Brussels citizen knows, so it's not completely senseless to try it! I have never tried Ballekes but I do know it. You made me want to try it after this video.
Thanks so much! We had never been to a meatball shop before it was a great experience! Do you have any other recommendations for us to try? We are sure to return to Belgium soon!
Trust us we would’ve rather gotten out coffee at one of them. We only had a budget of $100 USD per day on our 100 days in Europe so we had to cut cost where we could. We opted to have our crappy coffee and save the €7 for Fries instead. We had such an amazing time in Brussels! What are some of your favorite coffee stops you can recommend for the next time we visit with a little higher budget?
Thanks so much! We love Belgium! I think we checked Airbnb and prices were really high because of the Christmas Markets and time of year. At least I hope we did lol. Thanks for watching
I always say, why pay for an expensive hotel when you're on vacation, because you want to be out exploring, not spending time in your room!? As long as it's clean!
It was clean and since it was Christmas time the cheapest hotel we could find in the city center was $250🫠. The hotel would’ve been great but the public transit in Brussels was really unpredictable. So it turned what should’ve been a 40 minute journey into almost 2 hours. We are the type of people who leave first thing in the day and return at night so it wasn’t the end of the world.
It’s in the western part of town. Here is a link to a blog with some useful info and a map of the markets there. www.brusselsguide.net/events/christmas-markets/
As someone who's been working in Brussels for over 30 years, at only a 2 minute walk from the city center, I keep getting amazed by tourists who are so enthusiastic about the food in Brussels.. Overpriced and absolutely not the best Belgian food...
I beg to differ. I grew up in Brussels and still live and work here now as an adult and I strongly disagree. There are great restaurants in our city, but they're not all in the city center. But even in the center you can find good (local) food, like in 't Spinnekopke.
We have actually watched a ton of Pakistan travel videos and love the style of food when we are home and traveling. Trust us when we say it’s on our list, but nothing set in stone yet. Thank your for watching, commenting and for the invitation❤️
If you get a drink with that much froth or head on it and hardly any drink then people just take them back and say fill it to the top here in the UK. Your paying for a full glass not half measures
That's actually necessary as it prevents the drinker from feeling full and uncomfortable (bloated)... I would definitely question the bartender's skills if I was to receive a beer with very little froth on top (if any).
Quite the contrary. 😂 If there's no foam, we send it back. 😂 Belgian beers should always be topped with a rich layer of foam. Aside from the extra taste and texture, it also acts as an insulating lid, protecting it against the air and all consequences attached to it.
No foam means 3 things: a bar beer, a dirty glass or an incompetant barman. Since you're speaking about the UK, i suspect it's the both in the same time
Another winner! Those meatballs look AMAZING!!!
Thanks so much! That was such a cool, unique restaurant. Paired perfect with a Belgian Ale!
Covered gallery is called Galerie Saint-Hubert (also called the King and Queens Gallery) and not Sablon as you mentioned! Sablon is a neighborhood.
Ahhhh… thank you so much for the correction. Sorry about that, and thanks a million for watching
Finally youtubers who eat a waffle the right way !

@@HeresGoodTravel well, i may be wrong, but a train station is one of the place to have real street food, not "tourist trap" street food

Aah brussels, the city of sushi, that and Tokyo 😅
😂We traveled for a year straight and we love Asian food, we often stray but at least it was made by Belgians with Belgian ingredients

Lol that last dish. Délicieux et affordible, my ass. You can find that sandwiche in Brussels for 5 euros easy.
Really!? We just thought Brussels was on the expensive side. Any place you could recommend we visit next time?
Hi, which street was the wheel on please?

Thanks a lot......
It was our pleasure! We are missing the Belgian beers already!

Any recommendations for us? We will be back again and would like to hit some more local spots!

Brussel is expensive, you guys might visit other belgian cities where food is way better and cheaper.
Thanks! We didn’t make videos but found this to be true in Ghent and in Bruges! Bruges might be one of our favorite cities to explore
Will anyone make a video about Belgium with drinks other than beer 😂
We would but those beers are 4 times the price so we have to fill up on them when we are there!😂 it’s economical
Other than beer ? Like genièvre ?
All you put up was $44 for the beer at delirium, I guess you lost track of how many beers you had! Lol😂
😂haha let’s just say most of the beers there were 10 percent alcohol and about 4 euros each😵💫 We were delirious.
2 month posting that little bit late because all these things are standing in the summer
Perfect to time to start planning winter trips😃
Sir vist my country Pakistan
