The paint scheme on this car is my absolute favorite. Black and red. I was about 11 years old when this car was brand new, and I remember being so fascinated with all of its electronic advancements. I wanted so badly to be an adult so I could have a grownup car like this. Now I'm a grownup, and have my car with all the gadgets. THIS is a luxury car. Perhaps the finest ever built. Digital dash, all the extras, black exterior with red leather interior... The voice reminders are really cool as well.

Dad loved all the bell & whistles. Before he retired he didn't even like power windows. Lol! The only problem I recall was the front brake rotors would keep warping cause they were not big enough for the weight. That made the brake pedal pulsate pretty bad. You know what I miss? Opera lights! For those of you that don't know what those are, those are the white strips on the back roof pillars by the back door windows. They served no purpose but as a decoration only. They came in different styles depending on the type of car. I had a co-worker one time that had an 80s Mercury Cougar with opera lights in the shape of the cougar logo. They were neat. You only find them on limos now. I'd like to see them on regular vehicles again. Also I'd like to see opera windows again too. They were small separate windows for the back seat on 2 door cars. I had an '85 Monte Carlo and it had opera windows. Neat features that were forgotten about.

That is one gorgeous car, that colour combination is so perfect! The digital dash was amazing in that era, but I seem to recall they were optional in the U.S. but standard in Canada. The only fly in the ointment would be the lack of an overdrive automatic transmission. I had a LeBaron GTS turbo with a 5 speed, after regular cruising along at 75+mph in my car, when it was in for a repair I was loaned a car just like yours finding myself severely limited in speed since the engine was screaming at such high rpms at just 60 mph. But now that should not matter as this car deserves to be driven lightly protecting it's pristine condition.

My first ever car was a 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass. That was in 2005, and man I miss it. At first I was embarrassed of it, but it had cruise, power seats, power windows, AC, and the most comfortable seats I've been in since owning cars.
I think there are a vast number of guys like me who want to one day own a car like this one once their kids are grown, and they'll just get more rare as time goes on. Hold on to this thing and keep it in the shape it is here and you'll be sitting on a gold mine. I think. Then again, any stock I buy plummets, so maybe I don't know anything.
One last thing, what is the music playing at 5:58?

I remember my grandfather gave his old '87 Chrysler New Yorker to me and my brothers when he bought his '97 Intrepid. We had a lot of fun with it. My favourite trick was to trigger four warnings when parking by popping the door, unfastening my seat belt, switching or leaving the headlights on, and turning off the ignition just as it stopped. Then you could get it to say Thank You four times in a row just by switching off the lights, removing your keys, getting out of the car and shutting the door. Used to drive my first girlfriend nuts doing this....
