I love coming to re-read the comments over and over to remind me that I'm not crazy, this performance truly was a masterpiece, beginning to end. Thanks Casey and band for delivering what few live performances can. I could listen to this forever.

The screams in the first song are so on point, it's crazy. And the fact that a 3 hour show starts with that, yet he still sounds phenomenal for the rest of the night through all the clean parts is unbelievable.
It's 2012. I am living an hour north of Boston and find out that this show exists but is sold out. The day before the show a friend hit me up and told me he had a spare ticket because someone in his group couldn't make it. Needless to say I was there. It was an amazing show and a once in a lifetime experience. Amazing band, amazing performance.
And I have to add that it's rare when a band (especially a vocalist like this) actually are more elating to listen to LIVE than they are on their recordings. Porcupine Tree are another one I've seen 3 times in a row and always thought the same. Incredible stuff, dear hunter!
You know, when you're a great songwriter, great guitarist/musician and great singer, the music is bound to be amazing! As with many other great bands, TDH should be bigger than they are, they should fill arenas and stadiums. Even if they had only two fans at a show, there fricking awesome!
Seriously, Casey is probably one of the most underrated musical minds of our generation. The way he creates stories through music is literally akin to John Williams, who is one of the most praised composers out there. Although, some parts of me do appreciate that because the mainstream never caught onto TDH, they were never tempted into selling out. It's always been about the music and the story. I hope I get to experience a live TDH show in my life.
Discovered this band when they toured with Saves the Day and Say Anything back in 2008-2009. Been obsessed ever since. Casey's voice and song design is second to none. So glad they are still making music after all this time. Peace!
after all, it's the basically almost the best we can do in the new world! I always hear it as an affirmation of the honoring of your parents and paying their love forward ALWAYS
I would pay 1000 dollars to see this show. I want to see them sooo bad they’ve been one of my favorite bands since I discovered them in 2009 but I’ve never seen them live 😢
TDH and Andy from MO actually wrote the red ep off the color spectrum together. Andy actually has a few parts in some of the songs where he sings lead.
John Ricotta not gunna lie, pretty jealous you were there live... although I did attend the show in San Fran accompanied by Awesome Orchestra for the final Act tour, still would trade that for this experience 10 out of 10 times. 🤘😎
I confess--when he started to playing tripping in triplets, and said it intimidated him, I sat up straight in my chair and said "That's cause of me!" best song on the spectrum, imo. hope i didn't put too much pressure on ya, it sounds great
@@johnfricotta yeah! Look at them, some of them are pretty jumpy there, clearly they wanted to dance. Poor choice of venue I think. This album is so fucking good, that if I was there I would be swimming on these heads XD
It's not dance music. And 3 hours is long. And I would have wanted to be seated to focus on the music instead of on my tired legs and the other people bumping into me constantly. But ymmv.
Oh, lets take everything literal and don't try to understand what someone is actually saying. And then top it off with an offensive remark. Way to go dude.
Nearly every song in this album is an underrated masterpiece.
Nick Crescenzo is such a MONSTER on the drums!!!
I've said it before, I'll say it again:
The sheer range of sound this band can produce is BREATHTAKING.
You are breathtaking!
@@MCGenesis1984 aw thanks:*)
Have you said it again since? It’s been two years :)
I love coming to re-read the comments over and over to remind me that I'm not crazy, this performance truly was a masterpiece, beginning to end. Thanks Casey and band for delivering what few live performances can. I could listen to this forever.
It really is an incredible performance all around. Very, very impressive.

Not all heroes wear capes. You're an incredible soul for this!
You're a scholar! Thank you!
Help a new fan out, what do these colors mean?
@@niwdoog it's just Casey's musical interpretation of each color. There's no overarching story or anything.

You lucky bastard!
Luckyyy
amazing story
Damn what a story!! Haha you’re luck you got to experience this
I wish I could of made it here. TDH is an amazing band and I've seen them live maybe 3 or 4 times. Love this album, one of my favorite albums ever.
I didn't know they did this show of the whole album.
This is why this band is in my top 5 bands of all time. Well earned!

@TheEmpireDabsBack True! Three musicianship, the voice, the songwriting... Excellent!
It‘s just amazing! I love this band so much!
It's borderline stupid how good they are live
This album is one of many that have saved my life.
"But There's Wolves" has such an astounding guitar solo. It makes me think of the famous song "Money".
"And now here's a song about love falling apart."
Genius x)

One of the greatest things I’ve seen in my life
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPRESSIVE THINGS I'VE SEEN IN MANY MANY YEARS. wow...
Lillian always hits differently w me and this live version is perfect.
36:35 Four guitars and a bass live, and it works!
The more I live the more I get convinced that Crow and Cackle is the best song from the Spectrum
Look away 🤗
It's one of my favorites for sure. The borrowed Dm7 chord in the chorus (e.g. 1:26:09) is just incredibly beautiful.
It is definitely one of the top 3 for sure.
They should do this again.
Inject that bit at 2:29:07 straight into my veins please
My elbow cringed hearing this
So good
I'm really glad Look Away has fans. I'm so addicted to that song.
@@sand-paper-egg it's one of the best on the entire record imo. I love the vaudeville theatricality.
Josh Cushing one of my all time favorite songs. By any band
Nick S.'s bass tone in this concert is incredible.
The end of this show is so moving... What a performance.
Oh my god, this is so perfect that it seems unreal. Ten years living my life without seeing it!
Shout out production for that shot at 2:38:49
Not all heroes wear capes. Thanks Rick!
I would sell my soul to be able to go back in time and go to this show
Casey says "No God" is "depressing?" I've always considered the song as comforting as it is beautiful.
after all, it's the basically almost the best we can do in the new world! I always hear it as an affirmation of the honoring of your parents and paying their love forward ALWAYS
I LOVE THIS BAND
I’d do anything to go back in time and see this show live 😢❤
2 songs in, I'm amazed how good this sounds.
Didn’t know this was a thing. Glad it’s a thing.
Good, very good, excellent
Hace años que conocí Color Spectrum y llevo años esperando poder ver este En Vivo. Muchísimas gracias por compartir.
After watching this, I went out and purchased the DVD. A must own. Thanks for posting.
it's worth each cent 😉
Phenomenal mixing on the drums! Sensationally punchy kick...
I gave my copy of the live dvd to a fellow Dear hunter fan (after watching this maybe 20 times start to finish). Thank you so much for the upload!
I would pay 1000 dollars to see this show. I want to see them sooo bad they’ve been one of my favorite bands since I discovered them in 2009 but I’ve never seen them live 😢
So happy this exists
New subscriber. I just recently found out about this band and I already love them. Thank you :')
TDH and Manchester Orchestra should record an album together already.
Funny. I just came from live Manchester Orchestra videos. Maybe it's the lead singer beards
TDH and Andy from MO actually wrote the red ep off the color spectrum together. Andy actually has a few parts in some of the songs where he sings lead.
The world isn't ready
You can't hear Colors ......Casey...hold my beer
One of the best shows I've ever been to. Thanks for the upload!

Who else heard of this band for the first time through Rocksmith? Just that was worth the money for the game!
10 years later, still a jam
1:23:23 The proposal
53:00 that Casey guitar solo
Casey is just insane. He sounds literally perfect
Thank you so much for uploading this! I had forgotten how much I love TDH
this is the best.
Whenever I see Casey I'm reminded of Zack Galifianakis. I love it.
These guys just fucking rock love it
thank you, gracias, arigatou gosaimasu, xié xié, merci, danke, obrigado, gansamnida, grazie, kiitos
Excellent! Thank you for uploading this version! :)
I'm glad you liked. Best regards
Amazing band, amazing show
"Yeah, America!"

best song on the spectrum, imo. hope i didn't put too much pressure on ya, it sounds great
wish i could have been there!
I have to see this live ❤️
Thank you Matteo, this was VERY useful!
I wish they would do another multi-album like this again. Or at least play this live again
Es impresionante
These EFFIN DUDES MAN!
What a tour de force this performance was. Damn. We're not worthy!
Hello Jane Boss-tone, mighty mouse. Checkered sketchy ska punz.
Awesome!
thank u c'est magnifique ^^
"Yeah thats what she said" IM DEADD😭☠️🙏
I'd buy that dvd for a dollar!
X-RIGHTEOUSROCK-X
20:20 ohhh Baracuda. Nice Heart rip off lol but thats cool i like it
For the record, Roman clearly meant what he said before Crow and Cackle ;D
anyone know the name of the guitarist with the white tele
Andy Hull, I believe
@@jeremysette3657 I think he meant the other one. When Andy came in he used white Tele too but the other guitarist was on all the other 32 songs or so
Damn you Zack Galifianakis, why can't I sing that well?
Anyone know who the guest vocalist is on Take More Than You Need?
Cameron Thorne
Holy Moly! This is amazing! Does this exist in HD?
This is basically the same quality as the dvd (as a dvd owner). I think it was just shot this way 🤔?
2023
Well. Looks like I’ve found a new band to get in to 🤭
“Siri, clear my diary”
