I told my mom and dad about these scams so many times that now they tell me about new scams every day kinda mocking me but i am happy that i made them digitally educated😅😅

Happened with my father, but thank god I was there to disconnect the phone. These guys are really smart and aisa dar ka mahol banate hai, ki faste hi chale jate hai.

The same story happened to me. Some scammers called me and told that the parcel to be delivered to China is failed. My husband works abroad and l was a little curious. But somewhere I sensed something off and told them that there is no such parcels and hung the phone. At that time I felt nothing but now when I see the victims I realize I could be the one. Stay safe people

India's biggest scam I personally feel is the overcharging of food and drinks in Indian railways. Most scary part is that its going on for years and most of the passengers dont even know the actual price of food and beverages. The government is also not doing anything substantially to educate/aware the passengers and enforce laws to vendors to sell only at actual prices.

I think gov and companys should focus on customer's data breach and also make strict laws against data breach ,these data breachs are main cause of this kind of horrific event.And if judiciary found out that X or Y company neglect the privacy of indivisual's data ,that company should be punishable.
I was also scammed by bijali vibhag . He said that your electricity will cut permanently if you do not download the app and recharge 7000 rupees your electricity bill will be paid and when recharge is successful the call will automatically cut. This type of fraud is in bihar.
I also got a similar call a couple of months ago. . . From a courier company at 8:30 am approx. (I was on alert bcz which courier company or its customer care calls this early🧐). Khaer, I didn't prolong the call; I let them know quite properly that it was a scam call🙄
I work at a Public Sector Bank. Few days back a lady came to our Branch with her parents. They liquidated all their FDs which amounts to almost half a crore. And they request us to transfer all the money via RTGS. My colleague dealing with them find it suspicious and questioned them. But they said it was for some land purchase. But my colleague was sure by their body language that they're not telling the truth and called other staffs. We sensed that it may be a case of Digital arrest scam. And we directly asked them if you are under digital arrest and at last one of them broke down and agreed. We request them to calm down,and assure them they are not in any trouble. We showed them youtube videos, news articles but they were like hypnotized. They were still forcing us to go ahead with the fund transfer. At last we called the police and then when the police told them that it's a scam then they were convinced. These scammers have taken social engineering to another level.
Ngl listening these story feel like how stupid people can be believing these scammer until the same thing happen with you,when these things are happening the mind goes blank and we do whatever they ask. THATS TRUE TERROR YOU FEEL AT THE TIME.

Mere sath ek baar huaa tha.. maine apna purana tab sell pe daala tha.. i think 10-15k tak daala tha.. and i know.. wo 2k me bhi bikne layak nai thi.. but somehow a men texted me in olx saying i want to purchase that.. i was like.. bhaiya price okey hai dent wagera hai nai hai nai dekhoge.. but he was like nai nai mujhe apni wife ke liye kharidna hai i am an army officer.. or phir ek adress diya usne pr bola yaha aa ke de jao.. and then i got to know ki ye kuch to gadbad hai yaha..😂 kyuki wo bahut hi jaada hadbadi kr raha tha.. mereko jaana hai.. wagera wagera.. Then i asked him how do i trust u that u are an army officer.. so he send me his id.. and to check i just checked that id using google lens.. and got so many fake ID's like that.. 😂🤣🤣 Phir jo gaali diya main usko.. or jo mjee liye uske 😂🤣😂.. All is a lot of fun that time.. 😁😆
My work involves investigating credit card scams and fraud. With my experience I can say 99% of people who fall prey to such scams are generally either not digitally literate or they've done something shady at some point in their life.
It happened to me once. I had just returned home from traveling, and my family knew I was back. After arriving, I went to freshen up. However, luck would have it that my family received a call saying I had been arrested for some unknown reason. My father was really tense and worried, while my mother didn't seem as concerned. 😂 I had already informed her that I was at home, but they were unable to reach me by phone. When I came back, I saw that I had around 30 missed calls! I thought to myself, "What did I do?" Thankfully,My mother saw through the confusion, but my not picking up the calls did scare her. 😂

My father got Digital Arrest call 2 days ago. He didn't know anything so he was taking the call seriously but fortunately I was there. I knew about Digital Arrest so I started talking about it with my father & they heard it. They End the call there after they realized that we know it's a scam call. Same I also got a scam call on WhatsApp to saying that. I did something and if I know where my father was and I was like yeah I know where he is . (they knew my and my father‘s name,don’t know how but they did) then my mom took my phone and she was talking to them so they were like. Oh do you know where your husband is so she said yes I know where he is right now then they started threatening that oh you don’t know that he is under our custody and we are talking from Cuttack police station (I am from Odisha so it was normal I guess )and my name is this that Officer and he is being arrested for some crimes and he has been found with drugs and anything I don’t know what not they said and the funny part is I was talking to my father just like five minutes ago ,not even five minutes like just before this call so I was like it’s fraud for sure . So I took back the phone from my mom and I was like oh so my father is in your custody so they were like yeah he is in our custody and there is police force going to your house cause this that thing is found with your father and I was like oh sure. Send them over. He was like oh no, you don’t understand this is a serious crime and he is found with lots of drugs and what not so I was like okay. Sure you can send them over. We are free at home. Send the Police over. He was like no you don’t understand. He’s doing a very serious crime. This is like very big of a deal then he started threatening us with those things and for a moment if I didn’t knew that it was a scam before I would definitely fall for that because he was scaring us, he was like threatening in the most scariest voice.You can think of that moment but because I was already aware of the frauds going on in India already so I was like oh no, there is no possible way that this is possible right now so I was like oh sure you can send them over and do what not and everything and then he was like. Oh you don’t understand oh you don’t understand and I was like okay sure I will give you to cyber Helpline if you want that for yourself then he was like oh you can’t do that I am talking from the head police and I was like cut the crab you are babbling. I have already know that you are a scammer so cut the call already . I laughed so hard after cutting that call. It was like last year. September or August month I got that called. if I really wasn’t aware of the cybercrime going on, this would definitely scare me out of the world. by the way, my mom was actually scared of that and when I told her that I already knew it was a scam. She was like that’s good that you knew that otherwise it would have been a big scam.
In such case I think genz's are very good at picking up the sceptical situation because we all got so many trust issues. But yes it can happen to any one of us and people have stopped watching news due to the drama which Indian news channel show they all think it's not worth it and on social media you have to willingly click on the video to get informed on such situations. For this the only solution is having presence of mind. Stay alert stay safe👍

But from the start I know they are telling lie because in my entire life I never went to Lucknow and they say about harrassing mene Aaj Tak hath bhi nhi pakda kisi kaa But they are with full plan unhone meri baat ladki se bhi karai or uske maa baap se bhi and they also know my name,age & location then I said my brother is a police commissioner in Mumbai and I am making a conference call to him please explain the situation him too and he will pay you money and then they are like no you can't transfer the call then I transferred it to my friend they just disconnected
Every person should no about the law .Specially in crpc and bnss there is a dedicated chapter on how to arrest of a person by police magistrate and person . In both law there isn't any provision of digital arrest . Every person must know

On 7 january my office friend was held digital arrest for 2 hours, they had her Aadhar she was traumatized for that moment and believed in what ever they had feed her, she eventually had suspected and provided false information and then came to know that it's a scam. Same thing happened to me 5 months ago, I denied for police call and filed digital FIR. Ironically I got the call again next time I given FIR and they said they will check but they didn’t called back again.. Until the news came about this scam related to the business man.. I was thinking my Aadhar card has been compromised… Because clearly during the conversation they told my Aadhar number
Such scam incident happened with my father too. So what happened one day my got a voice call through WhatsApp saying that "I'm police and I have arrested your son in a molestation case along with his friend" and also played some crying voice of boy saying papa bacha lo. And since I was out of town at that time my father convinced that my sone have been arrested are got afraid also because scammer was saying that iski jindagi barbaad ho jayegi ispr case laga denge and all, and then he asked for money of 1lakh my said ki itni nahi de payege so after bargaining literally bargaining that fake police got convinced at 20thousand 😂from 1 lakh to 20thousand. And then as my father transferred the money, call was disconnected and number was unreachable.

Usne kha "me sir bs police se baat krra" maine kha mai LOCATION Thane ka ACP hun 😂 Apke Thane mai call lga rkha hn or sath sath line pr bne rahiye mai apka call trace krra rha hun apke liye band barat bheji hn Usne call kat diya😂😂😂😂

I got the exact same call, he told me some courier with illegal items have been caught, I asked them to tell my full name which they couldn't tell..lol and I hung up.
The main factor why these scams succeed is because of the fear of the inefficient legal system of India. A normal citizen try to avoid police and system out of fear even when they have done nothing wrong. Visiting a police station for help is trauma in itself they talk so rude and with no respect toward anything. Police only come forward when the damage has already done .
This is so dangerous that their is an e-challan on my father's name and it was forwarded to the court for settlement and they're calling my father from their side and my father got angry on them saying this doesn't happen on call

Exactly same happened with me. I told that I'm going to report to the Punjab police, they will handle matter. Then they cut the call.

Then i asked him how do i trust u that u are an army officer.. so he send me his id.. and to check i just checked that id using google lens.. and got so many fake ID's like that.. 😂🤣🤣
Phir jo gaali diya main usko.. or jo mjee liye uske 😂🤣😂.. All is a lot of fun that time.. 😁😆
My work involves investigating credit card scams and fraud. With my experience I can say 99% of people who fall prey to such scams are generally either not digitally literate or they've done something shady at some point in their life.
Scammers after seeing his reels or news from anywhere... They must have been celebrating ki hmne ek influencer ko chuna laga diya.. 🤭🤭

It happened to me once. I had just returned home from traveling, and my family knew I was back. After arriving, I went to freshen up. However, luck would have it that my family received a call saying I had been arrested for some unknown reason. My father was really tense and worried, while my mother didn't seem as concerned. 😂 I had already informed her that I was at home, but they were unable to reach me by phone. When I came back, I saw that I had around 30 missed calls! I thought to myself, "What did I do?" Thankfully,My mother saw through the confusion, but my not picking up the calls did scare her. 😂
I have recieved this call ...but I know they are scammer ...I said jo hoga mai dekh lungi my father is police officer...jabki aisa kuch nhi hai but jab ye call aaya mujhe last year usse pehle mujhe koi idea bhi nhi tha ...trust me guy's best way to deal with scammers don't scared and just cut the call
Cyber crime number 1930 isn't working, when i try to talk to an operator by clicking 4 it always says "the number you are trying to reach is currently busy" what kind of service is this!!!!!!

My father got Digital Arrest call 2 days ago. He didn't know anything so he was taking the call seriously but fortunately I was there. I knew about Digital Arrest so I started talking about it with my father & they heard it. They End the call there after they realized that we know it's a scam call.
Lot of old age people take these calls seriously & get scammed easily.

I also got a scam call on WhatsApp to saying that. I did something and if I know where my father was and I was like yeah I know where he is . (they knew my and my father‘s name,don’t know how but they did)
then my mom took my phone and she was talking to them so they were like. Oh do you know where your husband is so she said yes I know where he is right now then they started threatening that oh you don’t know that he is under our custody and we are talking from Cuttack police station (I am from Odisha so it was normal I guess )and my name is this that Officer and he is being arrested for some crimes and he has been found with drugs and anything I don’t know what not they said
and the funny part is I was talking to my father just like five minutes ago ,not even five minutes like just before this call so I was like it’s fraud for sure . So I took back the phone from my mom and I was like oh so my father is in your custody so they were like yeah he is in our custody and there is police force going to your house cause this that thing is found with your father and I was like oh sure. Send them over. He was like oh no, you don’t understand this is a serious crime and he is found with lots of drugs and what not so I was like okay. Sure you can send them over. We are free at home. Send the Police over. He was like no you don’t understand. He’s doing a very serious crime. This is like very big of a deal then he started threatening us with those things and for a moment
if I didn’t knew that it was a scam before I would definitely fall for that because he was scaring us, he was like threatening in the most scariest voice.You can think of that moment but because I was already aware of the frauds going on in India already so I was like oh no, there is no possible way that this is possible right now so I was like oh sure you can send them over and do what not and everything and then he was like. Oh you don’t understand oh you don’t understand and I was like okay sure I will give you to cyber Helpline if you want that for yourself then he was like oh you can’t do that I am talking from the head police and I was like cut the crab you are babbling. I have already know that you are a scammer so cut the call already . I laughed so hard after cutting that call. It was like last year. September or August month I got that called.
if I really wasn’t aware of the cybercrime going on, this would definitely scare me out of the world.
by the way, my mom was actually scared of that and when I told her that I already knew it was a scam. She was like that’s good that you knew that otherwise it would have been a big scam.
In such case I think genz's are very good at picking up the sceptical situation because we all got so many trust issues. But yes it can happen to any one of us and people have stopped watching news due to the drama which Indian news channel show they all think it's not worth it and on social media you have to willingly click on the video to get informed on such situations. For this the only solution is having presence of mind.

First of all i received a call from Lucknow police commissioner and he said "I have harrassed a girl in Lucknow and they say fir has been registered and girls family is in station and then they say the girl family is demanding 3 lakhs to settle the case.
But from the start I know they are telling lie because in my entire life I never went to Lucknow and they say about harrassing mene Aaj Tak hath bhi nhi pakda kisi kaa
But they are with full plan unhone meri baat ladki se bhi karai or uske maa baap se bhi and they also know my name,age & location then I said my brother is a police commissioner in Mumbai and I am making a conference call to him please explain the situation him too and he will pay you money and then they are like no you can't transfer the call then I transferred it to my friend they just disconnected
Every person should no about the law .Specially in crpc and bnss there is a dedicated chapter on how to arrest of a person by police magistrate and person . In both law there isn't any provision of digital arrest . Every person must know

On 7 january my office friend was held digital arrest for 2 hours, they had her Aadhar she was traumatized for that moment and believed in what ever they had feed her, she eventually had suspected and provided false information and then came to know that it's a scam. She had recorded the Phone call and WhatsApp video call and showed us the next day.

catch is that vo msg koi bank se nhi aata vo dusre no. se aata h msg ekdum vesa ka vesa .
So ese hi aap jldi baazi me wapis pese na dedena ok.

Same thing happened to me 5 months ago, I denied for police call and filed digital FIR. Ironically I got the call again next time I given FIR and they said they will check but they didn’t called back again.. Until the news came about this scam related to the business man.. I was thinking my Aadhar card has been compromised… Because clearly during the conversation they told my Aadhar number
Such scam incident happened with my father too. So what happened one day my got a voice call through WhatsApp saying that "I'm police and I have arrested your son in a molestation case along with his friend" and also played some crying voice of boy saying papa bacha lo. And since I was out of town at that time my father convinced that my sone have been arrested are got afraid also because scammer was saying that iski jindagi barbaad ho jayegi ispr case laga denge and all, and then he asked for money of 1lakh my said ki itni nahi de payege so after bargaining literally bargaining that fake police got convinced at 20thousand 😂from 1 lakh to 20thousand. And then as my father transferred the money, call was disconnected and number was unreachable.

I got the exact same call, he told me some courier with illegal items have been caught, I asked them to tell my full name which they couldn't tell..lol and I hung up.
The main factor why these scams succeed is because of the fear of the inefficient legal system of India. A normal citizen try to avoid police and system out of fear even when they have done nothing wrong. Visiting a police station for help is trauma in itself they talk so rude and with no respect toward anything. Police only come forward when the damage has already done .
