if living in the city, rabbits are a great option as they can be housed inside

We have some problems selling rabbits sometimes and get lots growing out
When you need to seperate all the males 12 weeks old or so depending on the fighting
You can run out of room
They do breed well once you get going
We enjoy having them around because we cannot have more than one chicken here in town one is not very helpful so we want to get quail next spring and we are learning and getting ready for them first
Our neighbor that is right behind our rabbits dont mind them the wild rabbits eat his stuff so he puts fensces up around his pot plants ;)
Rabbits love pot leaves :) lol
Anyway he likes us having rabbits and likes our idea to get quail and gave us some heat lamps
He said he has an incubator but he doesn't want to hatch our quail lol he wants to hatch lizards lol

We are having an unexpected litter of kits today
The mom did not care for them probably a new momy
This was in our colony set up so I don't know who was the mom
All 4 kits were really cold no nest i made one around the babies but without her pulling hair they all were cold and not moving
We got two out of 4 moving again all warmed up but without a nursing mom i don't know if they will make it
      We are trying bottle feeding
My little dog is really interested in the babies lol being nice like shes the mom lol licking them after bottle feeding i think would be good to stimulate digestion
Maybe she will take them on
Wish Abby luck on her new babies who knows it might work lol

Good points on rabbits over chickens. I haven't had rabbits in years and my chickens have nearly been completely destroyed by dogs and raccoons. I have them free range.

And growing goats being "heartier" does not mean anything relatable in my perception.
