I really appreciate this! Many of us accepted the gift of salvation at a later age and weren't taught any hymns and end up getting suckered into listening to the general "Christian" genre of music and never get to know the joy that the Holy Spirit fills you with whilst singing these powerful precious hymns. Folks taking the time to make them available, free of charge - is SUCH a blessing. Thank you!!! I found this one very fun and inspiring. May God bless you and keep you! In Jesus mighty name, amen. 💙
To God be the glory!👍 For all the Acapella hymns, More hymns, I love the lyrics, More Acapella hymns to listen on this Church of Christ Acapella Songs 👍🎶🎶🎶 Amen! to all the hymns.
I went to worship at a congregation other than the one I usually attend. A majority of the song service was a medley of songs I had never heard and the song leader was more of an entertainer than a worship leader. I felt excluded so I left :( Many congregations of our Lord's church have turned to "worshiptainment" venues. Very sad.

Tôi sẽ hát vang khúc ca khen Ngài, Nguyện luôn nâng đỡ bao kẻ khốn cùng. 3. Tôi chỉ chăm lo sống luôn cho Ngài, Bằng một cuộc sống thanh bạch nhân ái. Vì Chúa tôi nguyện đứng lên mỗi ngày, Dùng đôi tay nhỏ lo cứu giúp người. 4.
I love this song and can listen to it over and over again, thanks so much. I love Church of Christ which Christ established since AD 33 and am one😄😄🙏🙌🤝♥️❤️
A lovely song and true.......except it gives the message that good deeds will get us to heaven. We know doing good deeds isn’t enough. Belief on the Lord Jesus Christ, taking Him by faith to be your Lord and Savior your sin being covered by the shed blood of Jesus is the only way we can stand clean and pure before God. 🕊❤️
When the book is opened on the day of judgement.... If you have been saved by putting on Christ in baptism and lived a life as closely to his example, every page will be as white as snow. If not, the deeds will be recorded, and sadly judgement will be passed. God does not want any to perish but to come to a knowledge of the truth. God bless you!
I love this song. It has wonderful tempo, and happy message. Always think of the Hee Haw gospel quartet, seems like they like this a lot. Enjoyed it very much.
Wow! This is great work! I’d like to learn how to sing all 4 parts and do this with some original songs. I do like female voices though…How do you get the timings correct?
Glad you enjoyed, Mr. Kevin. Yeah, this one is quite high. Whenever I lead this at church, I'll usually pitch it in B. But since it's pitched in C in every hymnal that I have access to, I used that key for the recording. If everyone sang the part which matched their voices, I don't think it would be an issue. But most ladies *and* men (an octave down) sing the soprano part in congregational settings. And the soprano part for most men and many ladies is too high. Of course, if it went much lower, the basses would then have the range issue during the chorus. ( :
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, we sing it in churches here in middle Tennessee. Gospel quartets probably have a bit more flexibility, especially since their bass singers often sing way lower than the normal bass singer. ( : Count me jealous! Haha...
Yes I can see your point...there are references to the martyrs and to the faith both I believe. I didn’t realize your channel was worship only songs! My bad ... I enjoy your work a lot and sing in a cappella groups both quartet and mixed voices and most of your songs are familiar favorites. Keep it up!

@@brucealanwilson4121 Looks like you're commenting on the wrong video maybe? This video is "A Beautiful Life" written by William M. Golden in 1918. I included *all* 5 original verses. Looks like you're talking about a song called "My Soul Doth Magnify the Lord" (aka Magnificat) written at least as early as 1900.
@@brucealanwilson4121 No sir, you've commented on "A Beautiful Life". Just scroll up some. You'll see the video right there. But to answer your question: "Magnificat" is Latin for "[my soul] magnifies the Lord". There have been *hundreds* of arrangements and variations written from Mary's prayer in Luke chapter 1 over *at least* the past 1,000 years. The earliest known ones dating to around 800-900 AD and English composers from around 1400 AD. I have no idea what specific Magnificat you know. But please realize, it is only one of MANY out there. The one that I recorded was composed by Randy Gill in 2003 (as noted in my video description) here (th-cam.com/video/YhcOli9a7rg/w-d-xo.html). He used the first part of her prayer in his arrangement.
@@acappellahymns To be a child of God each day, my light must shine along the way. Basically saying salvation, or our sonship with God is based on our works and our life.
@@acappellahymns I need to clarify this because you are missing what I am saying. I'm not speaking against shining our light. But shining our light has to do with the Christian life. It has to do with our obedience and magnifying the life of Christ inside us. All of which have nothing to do with salvation. That verse literally says we have to continue to be a child of God. That is heresy. No one stops being a child of God. If I were to backslide, I would still be God's child. But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them which believe on his name. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God
In my humble opinion, this is one of those things where if you are unconfortable with it, don’t sing it, and if you are okay with it, sing out. (Romans 14:23) it is to your own comfort level. When I read the lyrics “to be a child of God each day, my light must shine along the way” I understand it to be “I’m going to let my light shine because I’m God’s child” rather than letting my light shine in order to be his child. And another note, if you interpret the song in a scriptural way, does it Matter what the writer or anyone else has in mind? Some people may disagree, and like I said, if you personally don’t want to sing it then don’t. But I don’t see anything wrong with the song at all, you can twist words to mean a lot of things, it’s about the type of melody you are making in your heart. Amen?
A Cappella Hymns Great point. And fun fact (I did some research recently) the man who wrote just a little talk with Jesus wrote it during the Great Depression, and he sold the song in exchange for new hymnals for his church building. It’s highly likely that he was talking about how “just a little talk with Jesus” will help you through hard times, rather than talking about salvation.
@@acappellahymns I do have to say that there is a meaning to those verses, but none of them say we can lose salvation. Here's the thing, if you believe you can lose it, forfeit it, give it up, drop it, or whatever your lingo may be, you are ultimately trusting your works and not christ. The word is clear, in order to be saved, ALL our trust must be in Christ's gospel. If we trust in ourselves at all and our works, then we do not have salvation. From what you have told me, I'm guessing you are trusting in your turning away from sin to save you. The bible is clear that turning from sin is works. And God saw their WORKS, that they TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAY; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. Jonah:3:10 here's the thing, we shod turn from our sins and live holy, but there will be many people that show up at the great white throne and talk about their holy lives and their works they did for jesus, and he will say he NEVER KNEW THEM. notice he doesn't say he once knew them, but they lost their salvation.
