I just ordered a garret ace lookalike from temu.. will compare it to my ace 150 although the temu one has more options i think it should be a fair comparison as one is 75 the other(ace) costs 100-150 used

With most of the cheaper / starter machines, I don't think you can go far wrong. I'm sort of expecting it to be quite good on the beach, as long as wet,salty sand doesn't confuse it 😁 Nice job Chris 👍
Agreed,can't go wrong coin shooting and that's how I started.Got another entry level machine coming and the company said a no holds barred review is what they want,I think it's their first machine so wait and see.
This is another variation of the Dr. Otek. My very first machine and I got the Dr. Otek pinpointer.
If nothing else, it plays some good tunes LOL Actually, it doesn't seem too bad for the price!

I was looking for a budget detector so I can take my grandson treasure hunt but I will have to wait for a cheaper price even with discount code as pension funds are low, would be nice for him to get into and hopefully get him some coins, great review tho 👍👍👍👍👍

@@Orionman8 it's ok for a first machine,nice and lightweight.If I was going to recommend a starter machine I'd look at DrOtek as the after sales are very good and they make slightly better machines...I have reviewed a few.This temu machine will be given away at 3000 subscribers
Same firmware as the MT-XR and also the same slow recovery speed. I have another Chinese brand on test here using exactly the same firmware, same screen, just a different control box. For the money they are ok👍

Yeah, as an intro to the hobby, deciding if you want to get into it or not it is a good way to start out without spending silly money. We are going to get these machines we have here down to the beach and see how they go. I have already tested the MT-XR and MTXE so expectations are low but we are talking entry-level/budget machines here so the bar doesn't have to be that high👍
@@yamahamusicians I've tested the DrOtek stuff on the beach and had some good hints on the dry so I'd imagine similar Results
It's looks ok for a starter, but it's not far off the same price as a TX-850 (which is the considered the best of the chinese clones).
Definitely agree,I have the tx850 and that's the best budget/copy I've used and have kept as I like it.Gotta edit a video I filmed where I put a NELL coil on it using a goldbug lower stem,works a treat.Cheers for watching

Recovery rate is far too slow. I have a similar one and is too frustrating to use. It's different if you "know" a target is there. If you don't you will swing over it every time. A far better cheap detector is the TX-850.
I have a tx-850 and in my tx850 video I think I say this,I demonstrated the swing speed for all to see and if it was slower than I would normally swing it got a ',no' as demonstrated.cheers for watching
Hello, I wanted to know what is the maximum depth at which it detects
Depends on the target size,angle etc.Would say 8 inches on something the size of a penny

@@Mike-ow2mt something bottle size your could be hitting over a foot but don't quote me as I've not tried testing steel that big
