This video was great, thanks! I've had the LV Sarah wallet for many years (which I've loved) and I am looking to purchase a new wallet, possibly the Chanel classic flap wallet. I think the Sarah wallet in vernis is even more similar to this Chanel wallet, because it is less malleable than the empreinte and subsequently doesn't open quite as wide. Interestingly, my wallet doesn't have the six card slots on the inside aspect of the front part of the wallet or the little slip pocket in front of the zip compartment (assumingly because it can't open as wide as that in the empreinte material). In short, you've sold me on the Chanel classic flap wallet because they are so similar and I'm ready for a little change! :)
Haha, sorry for making you spend money :) I am personally not big on Vernis because I worry that it starts looking used pretty quickly. Do you have the Sarah in Empreinte or in Monogram? I think the Mongram one has a slightly different design doesnt it?
Haha :) I have the Sarah wallet in the beige coloured Monogram Vernis. It actually only started showing wear six months ago after ten or so years (ie the colour became a bit darker, I accidentally drew on it, and the button stopped fastening closed), but I was really impressed with the quality of the wallet for the decade or so leading up to that point, and calculated that it ended up costing me less than 30 cents per day :) I did buy the beautiful Chanel flap wallet in lambskin and it is still in pristine condition at this point in time :) Thanks, Sabine!
Belle I just bought the exact same Sarah wallet in vernis a week ago. I would say it has held up very well. It was in excellent condition. I love vernis slg's. I have a vernis zippy coin purse in pomme d'amour from 2011 in beautiful condition. She's the reason I bought the Sarah wallet in vernis and also because I don't like it when the monogram wallets curl on the cards slots and pockets. I just stick to LV leathers for slg's. They do them so well.
That's my one reason why I don't buy more Chanel slg's. I just stick with Louis Vuitton because I like a leather interior for durability and longevity.

You missed a key design difference in the zipper compartments. The Channel has a gusset at one end giving better access when the zip is open.

Which one would you recommend? Do you think Chanel is too thick?
+Yang Jerry the chanel is definitely bulkier, and for practicality i recommend the Lv but I am giving some more details on this in the video
