This is increasingly on my radar..…Matthew 7 “and few there be that find it”. So many who claim intimacy “Lord Lord” and actually have Christian fruits which they point to when Jesus rejects them will be shocked . If I were in their shoes I would never ever in a thousand million years even think to point out my Christian fruits before Jesus. (Probably why they are being rejected in the first place - he knows their heart). 1st Corth 15:1-4, eph 2:8-9 It seems that there are so so many "Christians" who like to frontload or backload works into the gospel. If you stood before Jesus would you point out your Christian Fruits as having anything to do with your justification before a Holy God who paid with his life? The rejected ones in Matthew chapter #7 actually do this. The qualifiers of Matthew chapter #7... 1) Claim Intimacy with Jesus "Lord Lord" 2) Point out your Christian fruits as proof / justification.... To All- If you hear someone say that you need to repent and believe, you need to dig a little deeper and find out what they mean when they say "repent".. most of the time they will say repent means stop sinning. Did the Apostle Paul tell the Philippian jailer to "Repent and Believe"??? The Greek work for repent means to change your mind. We should be sobered and thankful and our lives should reflect this (Romans 12:1-2) and there are rewards resulting from our "Christian Fruits" but this does not justify us. Are you a "who so ever" shall repent??.... or are you a "who so ever" shall believe?? Which kind of "who so ever" are you? I don't say this lightly.. there are many great bible teachers / pastors / leaders who meet the qualification of the rejected ones from Matthew chapter #7 and they don't even know it
