    Great to have you back with new videos! I really enjoyed the SoU podcast - now I’m looking forward to getting a feel for what the MARF actually does… what the workflow is like, and why folks such as yourself prefer it to some of the newer 200e series sequencers. I hope you can get some great guests! (I’d love to hear more from the MEMS project)

    Very interesting patch breakdown, and I can definitely remember the point int he old buchla performance where Ciani used that string patch.

      I’m glad the general sound of her patch came through and it sounded familiar to you. I probably should have made the intervals between all the notes much larger so the slopes would have more notes to ramp through and have a greater effect.

    Amazing vid thankyou.. I just want to ask one question in regards to a very near future purchase of a Marf. Should I be looking for an original module or would the samodular clone be doing much of the same, or is there another version im unaware of. You mentioned that your Marf has had firmware updates, I guess im wondering which version you recommend that has the capability to do so. Thanks

      The original few that are still in existence are basically unobtainable at this point. Currently the SAModular version of the MARF is the best version of the module out there and it will run the current firmware that I am using.

    The intro sounds like Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence by Ryuichi Sakamoto.

    Excellent! Very interesting. When calibrating the MARF after installing the new firmware, what did you use for the 10v into the External Inputs?

    • @SourceOfUncertainty
      @SourceOfUncertainty  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use the preset voltage source from my 218 keyboard.

      @@SourceOfUncertainty thanks. It was a silly question maybe but I’m approaching the firmware upgrade with some trepidation.

    Where would one buy a MARF?

      My friend Bill built mine and he’s built about 20 more since mine. You can message him through his Reverb shop.
