Me too. It's always funny trying to explain open handed drumming to people. I usually just say "I'm left handed and right footed so I just hit my hats with my left and put my ride over next to it."

I'm left handed but I don't set up my kit lefty (backwards) I set it up like anyone else except I put the ride on my left side next to my hi hat because I hit the hi hat and ride with my left hand and snare with my right. That's what open handed is. But that's the only bif difference in how I set up my kit. Ride on the left next to the hi hat

Never lead with hands, always do it with your mind. Left hand still playing the same beat just change hi hats to snare drum. I have some videos on my channel. Great video!!!
